I grew up in Garfield. You missed so much of town. River Dr., Outwater Lane, Lanza Ave. Great local business, The Golden Eagle, Piast, La Bella's, I can go on and on. Thank you for spotlighting Dahnert's Lake Park. ( The 'h' mis silent, pronounced Dan erts)

Yup, I worked for the TD bank up the road in Elmwood Park. The Garfield TD though there I think closed in 2014 or so and its been empty since

I met a girl by the name of Kim back in the 90s who lived in Garfield - When I was in high school I heard they had real high property taxes in Garfield. Is Garfield close to Montclair? A little confused as to where Garfield is -

It’s next to Lodi on one end… Passaic on the other. Taxes are low. I lived there for 36 yrs. Left in 2015.

Garfield hasn't had hoops on their courts in about two decades being on the type on clientele basketball tends to bring to the town...and it is pronounced Dan-Erts park

Fun facts: the name Garfield is an amalgamation of "garbage" and "field." New Jersey's nickname is The Wasteland State, and Garfield's patron saint is St. Garbage. Few people actually know this, since I just made it up. However I must commend you on your camerawork (and bravery) Bill Hooper, because underneath that thin veneer of suburban composure lies a seething cauldron of iniquity and mayhem. Garfield may very well have domes of Gold, but they rest on termite-infested foundations of birch wood in a landfill of toxic emotions.
