You have such a fun filled but hard working life Buddy, i'm so jealous of your lifestyle. Thanks so much for all the content you bring us on your channel. Also, its so nice to look back at that gorgeous weather you was having whilst i'm sat here in dreary cold old Egham.
+Naruto Uzumaki It's very relaxing, very cool in its own way (culture, people are super nice, food is fucking tasty) but all in all.....it gets pretty boring after a while due to lack of diversity and things to do. (except if you love camping and outdorsey stuff cuz then its heaven.) - All this coming from a swede living in london.
+Y2Kforthewin I love camping despite being and cuddled city boy. But from what I see the Swedish culture is amazing ! Europe as a whole just seems like it much more culture, and progressive compared to the states. And I'm well traveled, some places are better than others. Like I went to culture shock in the mid west and parts of the south that are much more gun loving, conservative, religious. I'm from a place that is very progressive so it's just weird to me. Side note if you come to the states don't go the south, so many stupid people. They think the south won the civil war. I should've slapped those wankers for saying such an outlandish thing at a civil war site no less. People in Europe seem more educated, as education there works.educate is Important.
Naruto Uzumaki I know exactly where you're coming from. But please don't encompass "europe" as one cultural entity. e.g. Ukraine is a completely different place when it comes to its culture, peoples views on race and sexuality etc , politics, history, food (the list is endless) than lets say The United Kingdom. I just dislike when Americans say "aw i really wanna go to EUROPE!" when each country is so vastly different.
Thank you, this video is amazing! Love Stockholm, love Djurgarden. We went to that Royal park (opposite to the Nordic Museum) to feed Canada geese:) Can't wait for the next episode.
Sweden does have beautiful nature during summer and winter (imo). It is rather rainy and dull during a normal fall but otherwise it's actually very nice :3
I was in Krakow over the summer there and tried some of the amazing local food, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did! Excited to see the next video :)
I really love your vlogs Donal, but even better the ones you've filmed in Sweden! I think it can make me appreciate it more. I guess it is also because I'm not from the ''mainland'' Sweden, it's fun to see someone else visiting all the beautiful mainland places :) Watching this made me miss those beautiful summer days! ^^ Good warming memories during the winter :) Btw, I think you are meant to open that can of fermented herring inside a bucket filled with water, to prevent stuff from splashing all over! I bet it tasted good in the end though ^^ Looking forward to your Kraków vlogs! It is also a place I have visited and enjoyed. Poland is stunningly beautiful too :)
I've picked those exact mushrooms here in Oregon! I didn't think they were Swedish, though! They have different earthy flavor to each other and they are so good!!!!!👍🏻
+Donal Skehan Thanks for the reply! I love what you do! Since we're on the subject of mushrooms, it would be great if you did a video talking about a bunch of different kinds and how to prep and cook them (and what can accompany them)! I feel mushrooms get some negative connotation attached to them and this makes me sad! They are so versatile and delicious! Thanks again!!!👍🏻💗
Don't forget that the ABBA Museum is also on Djurgården, well worth a visit if you're into that sorta things. :) Anyhow, this epitomized what Swedish (late) summer is like. Just pure heaven. -29 degrees Celsius atm isn't my cup of tea though. Loved the video!
I've been to Sweden twice, my husband's family is from Sweden. I loved it. I could eat my weight in their "bread" which we would call crackers. I could live there. It's so much more simple than the US.
you are super cute i love your food and the vlogging is one of my favourite parts in your channel ps. i love your cakes and sweets and other sugery stuff
Hi Donal!!! Amazing video Do you remember the name about first Bakery where you met Lisa? I'll be in Stockholm on June and I'd like to go there (sorry for my orribile English but I'm writing you from Italy 😁) Thanks so much You are the best one!!!
5:59 I can imagine you being in a pop punk band 😂 Nice vlog, Donal! Those Swedish cakes looked so delicious! I think I'm gonna make your Swedish Cinnamon Bun recipe in the near future
Yes, sort of. I live about 40 minutes east of Anaheim in a city called Lake Elsinore but I work in Long Beach. Btw, my 4 yr old son Hudson watches some of your videos with me.
It would be a great excuse to check out Olson's Delicatessen in LA. My wife and I have been wanting to go and for an added bonus, Sofie can get some Swedish food so she won't be too homesick!
I feel like he's more Swedish than I am, he has experienced way more of the Swedish summer than me and that's quite weird considering I was born here lol hahahahahah:)
+Marlene Lund isn't that always the case :) as a tourist you sometimes see more.. Sofie's made me go to lots of places here in Dublin I'd never been to before!
Hi! Did I heard wall, the next episode of your european trip, will be in Poland? I'm from Poland. I can't wait to see this episode, I so excited :). What food did you try? What you think about polish food? Greetings from Poland.
+Donal Skehan Hi! Thank you for response. I really appreciate it. Did you know that bagels are regional food. In eastern Poland where I come from its difficult to buy them. I like pierogi ruskie with cottage cheese and mushed potatoes and I also like pierogi with lentil. Greetings for you, Sofie and Max.
Omg you look so cute in the black circle hat Does anyone know what they are called? I really want one and pretend like Im a pro at desserts on my channel! 😭
Is there a way to watch these tv show or some episodes online? Living in Germany I do not have access to the foodnetwork as a tv channel... But there is no mediathek / video portal on the Website so I guess it is tv only?
+MrsFlooosh yeah it's only tv at the moment but you have these behind the scenes vlogs and I think you can watch recipes on the Food Network website! :)
+Donal Skehan I hope you've had fun in those cities, especially in Istanbul. I'm from Turkey and I was quite surprised when I saw that Istanbul was one of your destinations
A Swede opening a can of surströmming in the open air (surrounded by people)!? No, no, no... this can not stand. The proper way to do it like a pro Swede, is to fill a bucket with water and holding the can under the surface whilst making the first small hole. Let the over pressure escape from that small hole for two, three seconds, then lift it up and open it all the way.. No fuss no muss...amateurs...
I don't mean this in a gay way - but you are possibly the most adorable man ever? Please . . . I know this might seem even more rude than I normally am . . . but don't let them suck all the life out of you in LA.
Omg never laughed so hard in a long long time. Lol the hair scene..had to play it for the hubby cuz he wanted to know why I could not breath...LOL
Hands up who would try that fermented herring!!!
+Donal Skehan I'll try anything once, but that would take some time. :)
+Donal Skehan YUK! Not me! :D
+Donal Skehan I knew about it years ago, but no way I will try it:) Jamie ate this herring, I remember his video! :) Jeez.
+Donal Skehan Oh, you did it! My hero:))
All the time! I love it!
love watching these vlogs here in the US! My mom's family has a swedish background so it's really interesting seeing the culture from your lens.
Donal! You've done it again! Yet another grand video of European food fun. Those crawdaddies looked amazing. Thank you!
awww, Maxie boy at 0:28 he's the cutest.
Can't wait to watch the Krakow vlog!

You have such a fun filled but hard working life Buddy, i'm so jealous of your lifestyle. Thanks so much for all the content you bring us on your channel. Also, its so nice to look back at that gorgeous weather you was having whilst i'm sat here in dreary cold old Egham.

This video made me miss summer in stockholm really bad 😩 but really awesome video Donal! 😊
I need to go to Sweden. Looks amazing
+Naruto Uzumaki one of my favourite places in the world! :)
+Donal Skehan you should come to Boston. ^_^ best city in America. Or at least on of most advanced/ progressive.
+Naruto Uzumaki It's very relaxing, very cool in its own way (culture, people are super nice, food is fucking tasty) but all in all.....it gets pretty boring after a while due to lack of diversity and things to do. +selina vilsmark sounds amazing!
Donal is slaying that mohawk!
+Nocturne22 YEAH BABY!
I'm gonna let you in on a little swedish secret: You open the can of surströmming under water in a bucket.
+Tomas Helleberg yeah, they told us that afterwards.... LOL
yeah if youre a newbie, if your experienced you just tilt the can and begin opening it slowly on the upward tilted side

I've picked those exact mushrooms here in Oregon! I didn't think they were Swedish, though! They have different earthy flavor to each other and they are so good!!!!!👍🏻
+Stephanie Robertson Brown I'm sure you can find the same mushrooms all over the world, you just need to know where to look :)
I love all of the chocolate!
+TheSasri14 OH BABY!

+Ele Plus that would be fun :)
I've been to Sweden twice, my husband's family is from Sweden. I loved it. I could eat my weight in their "bread" which we would call crackers. I could live there. It's so much more simple than the US.
Perhaps, but simple in what way? (Just curious.)
It's minus 15 and I haven't seen the sun in a week. This makes me long for summer.

+JT McAwesome-Face it starts on Food Network UK in a few days!

+Colin Hirons way worse than lutfisk!
earlier last year**
+Zweitze Vd Heide I know....

+Alan D LOL thanks!
you should grow a beard. i think it would suit you : )
+Paul Fowler ha! The only thing I can grow is a pervy French man goatee!
+Donal Skehan haha well i dont think that would suit you
Not gonna lie not really lol
This could have been really interesting, but it is so superficial and sweeping that it doesn't convey much meaningful information.
Hi Donal. Awesome! I don't suppose you have a gay brother/friend/etc., like you. It would be a perfect fit! 🙊
+Reidwaan Wookay haha! I do have a brother! :)
:) Yay!
Sorry, but why wear summer clothes ? Mmmm
it was summer when he filmed this
