This movie's alien invasion scenario is truly terrifying and more realistic than most other alien invasion movies, where humans are utterly unable to fight back at all, being technologically outmatched in every way. If it weren't for Superman and using Kryptonian tech against them, the humans would have no way to fight back.
I know, everything about this movie is both realistic yet unbelievable; I don't see why more people don't like it. It's like it was too much of what people wanted that they had the opposite reaction to loving it. Character development, plot, struggle, realistic triumph and of course action scenes that make you feel like it's happening to you.
Maybe Swanwick morphs into Martian Manhunter and defends but even that’s a stretch
@@gessnermatt 😉😉
General Zod was too good of a villain to be used in a Man of Steel ORIGIN. DC really underutilized him by not saving him for the Justice League film. I would’ve done exactly that.
yea sry, no i take that as pure bs. i'm 100% sure earths military forces are able to f*ck up that ship, the moment when its firing his dubsteb laser or even before that. i mean, we have huge arsenal of missiless, armor piercing bullets, stuff that will screw up this ship, no matter the gravity force thats around it, because if you have something flying at you with the speed of more then 1000km/h, then the object will blow right through that.
zod was the soul of this movie.
not just zod. all of the casts were perfect
And Zimmer's score, and Zack's fight scenes.
Seeing Clark constantly engage choices in the face of risking fear from humanity and overcoming it each time really illustrated his optimism and was inspiring .

Yes I thought that too! Unlike what other SciFi movies like Armageddon which have no relation to physics at all!

Snyder and Nolan were the best thing that Happened to DC.
But after selling WB to AT&T I lost all hope, they want money bags not masterpieces of art like this, so they booted him and his vision and put on a watch in BvS so the action was downgraded a lot, then they chopped it to pieces for PG13 to pander to all instead of OG R rated being theatrical because superheros are PG13 I guess saving world and extraterrestrial aliens, this movie was PG13 but it snuck cleverly. And if you look at now, WW is done by Patty Jenkins perhaps okay but not as a profound as Snyders. And the new Shazam being stupid, the whole New Gods is now being made by a lady who is racist and skillless lady just because POC you know. And they do not care about the plot or impact they just want to chase marvel formula on brainwashed simpleton content.

This scene is so realiatic. This would happen if we were to be attacked by aliens.
That's what I loved about Man of Steel. It had a different feel than the MCU. It was in the same tone as the Dark Knight Trilogy, basically asking, "What if Superman were real?" just as TDKT asked the same of Batman. But Warner Bros let MCU fanboys in the media and online convince them this was the wrong take and made them try to make the DCEU like the MCU. Stupid move on WB's part by listening to the haters.

Yeah but he could have just made a compromise to ensure both planets' survival but like the man said" I exist only to protect krypton" which means he unfortunately means he would have to reshape and terraform earth and he could have found a way to make a deal so that humanity wouldn't have it's potential extinction to worry about
