Many counties have a national ban but they still do it. Egyptian women who I speak with, none of them admit that they had it done. They say it is a very small number of people. But they all had it done and they are afraid to speak because they may be killed by the husband or father or brother
I watched this and it brought back flashbacks i have the same story as jaha except that i was 18 and i stayed in that marriage for 5 yrs 2 kids. Losing all my self worth and zeal to leave. I ended up divorcing only to chose another toxic man. Now I’m in a useless marriage with a totally useless man and i still think had i not been cut/forced into marriage i might have had a better chance in life
