  • Hi Aquaponics growers. In this video we'll be running through the evolution of the holistic Aquaponics System. Then we will feed the fish and have a look at those beautiful trout. Not even a year old yet but already beautiful fish.
Hope you get inspired and transform your pond into a really productive and sustainable ecosystem!
If you share the desire to grow sustainable, healthy and tasty food in your backyard thank to aquaponics, feel free to join the aquaponics revolution movement there: aquaponic.subscribemenow.com/
See you on the other side.
    Salut!
    Jonathan

For some weird reason I would like to jump in there and play with the fish 😂👌🏼

That's exactly what I feel (and do when no camera is around 😂)

623 views!!! Your channel is being suppressed! This is amazing and beautiful and could be scaled way up with some space and slope. Make it blend in instead of stick out like an eyesore that traditional aquaponics

That is a LOT of mint! Maybe a small floating basket is enough.. :)

Me and my daughter love your videos and we would love to design a backyard like yours. What I would really like to see how you built the system. I’ve seen some images, but not a lot in the design process. You’ve said in other videos that you must be careful when designing the pond, but what do you need to be careful of??? I’d love to see diagrams that show dimensions, materials, etc.

    Hi Jonathan,
I'm really interested in how you use your grow beds to feed your family.
Is it enough fish and vegetables to live from in bad times?
If you are out of ideas, I also would like to see you harvest fish and vegetables and make a super fresh meal.

Hi Sebastiaan. The crop harvested from our aquaponics system is very welcome and allows us to consume fresh vegies and fish but it is ABSOLUTELY NOT producing enough to be SELF SUFFICIENT. If I was managing it "normally" I would produce around 25kg fish and 150-200kg vegetables per year. I am able to go over those numbers thanks to some fine tuning but we are far from approaching the total needs of a family.

This is next level stuff. You have inspired much of how i think about aquaponics in terms of mechanics and the importance of biodiversity.

looks like you have converted from your early days of using tanks to now a pond? with the pond system, do you lost more water due to evaporation than in your previous tank system which the water circulation were enclosed?

Could you do a video on Aquaponics for those with limited physical ability and resources, please?

Hello Klara, the technical information is available from the free training (link in the video description). However I don't recommend working on small volumes (no less than 1000L)
