I realize these teaching on tools videos and they contain so many really useful suggestions and demos on how to actually use the products and why they're good to use and --- just so much valuable info. Thank you so much!
Thank you Jennifer for putting together these videos. I always find something new to try whether it be a new product or technique. I know they are a lot of work to put together so I just wanted to say thank you.
I am a Tombow marker fan. I love to emboss on Canson watercolor paper and put some color in the embosed spaces and add water. Beautiful results for blending. As always, Jennifer, thanks so much for your informative video.
Hi Jennifer ~ I had given up on the Zigs until I saw one of your videos using them. Light Bulb Moment! I changed the paper and voila! Magic happened. Thanks so much for taking so much time to create these awesome videos. ~HUGS~
Loved this video--as I do ALL your videos! I need to put my Tombow markers where I can reach them. I tend to forget about them! One tip I learned from watching Sandy Allnock is that you can use your blender pens to blend colored pencil. I have several blender pens and they all seem to work well. I've actually used them to blend cheapy colored pencils in a pinch, like when I don't want to travel with my big set of Prismacolors. Have blender pen, will travel! If any viewers are looking for great colored pencil tutorials, Sandy Allnock is fabulous!
Hi....I always watch your favorite things this time of the year. I couldn't believe I have all your fav coloring tools already...woohoo. Thanks for teaching us all new technic's to use our tools with...😀
Would love an online card class for colored pencils , I am still learning with, but love love them. Thanks for the tip about the white pencil for blending 💗💗 thank you for taking the time and energy for all these wonderful videos 👍🏼
Jennifer, thank you so much for all of the time and effort you put into these each year. They are so thoughtfully put together, and I always end up finding something I love that I didn't know about. This year, so far, my big find from your video was Lil' Inkers. I had never heard of them, but I looked through the site and ended up getting a ton of stuff. I love the style of their images, and I found a ton of sentiments that were so unlike most of what I've seen before. Thank you! You are appreciated. :)
Another fantastic MFCT video Jennifer! I never would have thought to use the Dove Blender Pen with my Distress Inks! I thought I would also mention that the Prismacolor Premier Pencil Blender Colorless Blender is also an awesome blender pencil that comes in a 2-pack for a good price! I picked this tip up from Nichol and it too is amazing! TFS Jennifer.....gentle hugz, Nancy
I have found your 'My Favorite Crafty Things 2016' videos to be SO helpful Jennifer! It's so hard to remember everything....so I just save your videos in a special spot for reference later! :) Thank you so much for sharing your great talent!!
Hello Jennifer. Thanks so much for all the great tips in this video! I especially appreciate the tip with the heating pad as my prisma pencil leads do break quite often. Can't wait to try it! Thanks again!!
Fancy Nails 💕 I have some free time from work today so I'm gonna binge watch your fave crafty things videos 😍🍿ps: also love tombows for coloring and the koi brush pens for lettering 💕
Thanks for the tip about the Prismacolor pencils, I'm also wary of nuking them in the microwave, lol. Another tip to prevent breakage is the way you sharpen them, make sure you turn the sharpener and not the pencil. I've got good results with a $2 metal sharpener from the brand Kum, it was recommended at a stamp show. By the way, Bristol will work for Copics in a pinch, although you have to modify your technique a bit. Thanks for another great video!
Interesting to know about the paper. I think I should have tried that Strathmore Bristol before giving up on my Zigs - although I gave them to my friend Lisa and she loves them and that makes me just as happy. Thanks for another informative video. Xx
Thank you, Jennifer. I'm new to card making and coloring. I have been using sets of Sharpies and Bic markers and some inexpensive colored pencils. I haven't tried any type of water color technique so far. Your suggestions will help me a great deal.
Thank you so much for your MFCT Video's. They are extremely helpful. Especially when you are a beginner like me. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Blessings to you and your family.
Great video Jennifer w/ tons of useful info...Liked the info for the Bristol; I have the same pad but good to know I can use for so much more. :) I recently used my prismacolor white pencil for blending but used it after the coloring. Worked quite well. Was a Halloween video from Sandy Allnock... Thank you for sharing.
Many thanks! This is one area where i am slowly getting more comfortable. I wonder if you can stamp well on Bristol if you intend to color the image. I have both Neehah and Bristol so i will try that.
Jennifer, do you really use all three markers (Copic, ZIG and Tombow)? When do you use one or another? If you had to choose ONE of them, wich one would you choose?
Great video! I do very little coloring but was wondering if you have tried the Spectrum Noir alcohol markers? Joann's has a variety of six packs of different colors, such as blues or violets. Thanks!
Great coloring tips. I am most comfortable with Prismacolors and have been using those since the late 80's. They are not as good as they used to be but they are still better than most of the others. I have one question about the shimmery products. Does the product rub off on the fingers or stay put on the card?
I'm sorry. Did you say why you don't like the Bristol for Copics? Did I miss it? Thanks for informing us about the difference the paper makes. I haven't paid much attention to that!
Always a pleasure to watch your favorites videos. One question: what do you think about Distress markers? I do use the same technique as you with the pads (acrylic bloc and brush), but wondering if it's easier to color with the markers. Thanks again for everything 😊
Hello Jennifer. This is the first time I have commented on a video of yours. I do enjoy them but never had had a question. II always figured you would be too busy to answer anyway. However, today, you said that you only use your copics on your neenah card stock. Have you tried them on the bristol? If so what was the result? Was there feathering, bleeding, pilling, muddiness? Just curious. It's ok if you don't answer.
Hello. I have asked stathmore about using with copics." Hello Torin - Thanks for writing to us! Yes, Copic markers will work very well with our 300 Series Bristol Smooth paper.". I have asked copics about using bristol "This paper works very well with Copic markers, yes. Enjoy using your markers with it!“ So why do you think it is not good?
At 11.55 I was hoping you were going to splodge the ink leftover on the acrylic block onto the paper that you just did the distress ink 'watercolouring' on :)

I mainly use colored pencils. I find gamsol my best blending agent. is there a different mineral spirit that you would recommend?
You indicated that copics work well on neenah. Does this hold true for all alcohol markers? Thanks, Jennifer.
another great one! thank you!
Hi, Jennifer! Thank you for the amazing tips. The link to Kathy Racoosin is taking me to a University channel. Is that hers? Thanks again!
Thanks Jennifer! What do you use to sharpen your Prisma colored pencils?
I'm sorry. Did you say why you don't like the Bristol for Copics? Did I miss it? Thanks for informing us about the difference the paper makes. I haven't paid much attention to that!
I can't get Smyrna wink of Stella pen to start? Any suggestions? Thanks- always look forward to your videos! Happy thanksgiving!!
can you recommend an copic alternative that is cheaper?
