    Is Western a difficult uni? Like if we were to compare Trent or Ryerson to somewhere like Western, should we be expecting a bigger workload from western? Thanks.

      It's "difficult" but most of the profs you'll be dealing with are world-class and it's honestly a smooth experience if you pay attention well enough and time manage. Western's workload depending on the program might be a tad bit more than Trent and Ryerson, but it is still very manageable for a committed student.

      lol depends. You put the work in, you win. You do have to pay to go to Western and the profs will pass you if you tell them what you want.

      First year of Engineering at Western is quite intense and heavy course load but it's smooth sailing from there.

    Nice video, have accepted the offer for Bsc. ( major Computers) just one small query how are internship here, does the university help in getting internship or we are on our own?

    • @how2university
      @how2university  2 года назад +1

      Maddy here! I am not sure for BSc, however for Engineering they have an internal job board and they run a variety of job fairs and recruitment events to help network. They also have office hours and workshops to improve your resume, cover letter, and to practice interviewing. I assume it would be similar with other faculties. In my opinion, the best way to make connections and get exposure with recruiters and companies who hire co-ops is through clubs and hackathons, most will have sponsors who are there to meet new students and recruit for internships/new grad jobs. I hope that helps!

    You'll be glad to know that I got accepted into bsc computer science honours program for the fall of 2023. I also got an offer from Toronto metropolitan University, which is offering a co-op program of 5 years.
    I like western a lot, but I am a bit skeptical for two reasons:
    1.Western doesn't provide a co-op program, so will I be able to secure internships ?
    2. I feel London is a bit secluded and there aren't much job options available.
    So, is western comp science any better than ryreson(tmu)?
    Will I get enough opportunities to grow in the field at western ?
    Other than the location of ryreson(tmu) and the availability of co-op, I don't like anything about it.
    Could you please guide me in making the righ decision?

    One more query plz. if I want to transfer from Western to some other university, how is the transition, re they ( university) supportive or reluctant ? TIA

    • @how2university
      @how2university  2 года назад +1

      Of course! Generally, you can apply to a new university when they are accepting admissions, and not re-register with your current university. Through the registration, you'd likely state you're a transfer students from post-secondary and the courses you've already taken will transfer over as well, should they qualify. From there, there are many experts in the new university's career services that can aid in any specific questions you'd have.
      Hope this helped answer your question!
