First of all, I just wanted to thank you. I have learned the majority of my knitting and fixing mistakes from watching your channel. I found myself in you described situation today where I was off by two purls. BAM! Turn to Very Pink Knits. :) Truly, thank you so much. 🥰

I just discovered I'm missing 2 stitches on a pullover sweater, which should have been a M1 at each edge right after the bottom ribbing. Oops. So now I'm working them in as I start the shoulder, plus the single M1the shoulder row 1 calls for ... a bit late, I know. What I like is this version (and I have watched others) leaves virtually no hole. So, thank you. :)

It makes me feel so good to know that you too have to sometimes "adjust" a stitch count. Thanks posting this video. I'm not looking forward to doing this. I had lots of M1R and M1L in my Cowboys and Angels shawl, now I have to M1R (purl) and m1L (purl) ~ sigh.

You could use this purl wise increase when knitting a stockinette stitch sweater in the round, but inside out purling in Portugueseknitting style knitting.

I have a PROBLEM please help !! I am knitting a cardigan vest open at the front with knitted lined pockets on right & left front.
It's cute but I'm stuck on the pocket placement row e.g. K10 slip 27 days onto stitch holder knit across 27 sts from pocket lining. Knit to end of row. The pocket linings end with 27 sts WS on stitch holder.
So do I just knit 27 sts from lining in the space left by slipping 27 onto stitch holder?
I would appreciate also if you can demonstrate how to count rows when your row counter has slipped digest 😟

Question: I'm knitting a pattern that is using a reverse stockinette stitch to make a tree on the purl side. My M1 comes on the purl side of the work, but on a knit stitch that is the tree trunk. So what kind of a M1 am I using? Any help is much appreciated

  • @verypinkknits

Thank you for the note! The sweater on the mannequin in this video is called Ecuador. It isn't my pattern, so it's unlikely that I'll do a tutorial on it. But, if you'd like to learn more about it, I've added a link to the pattern in the video description field, just below the video. :)
