Just took delivery of a 2021 CM Beyond 22C this week. Gard's videos helped me a lot in my decision to get one! And by coincidence, I just shortened a hose I had, to fit that 29 inch storage tube. Cut it and re-clamped the end fitting (I use a connector and a 90 degree adapter at the dump end, handy if you have full hookup up at a campsite). Also, I dump in my cleanout to my septic system at home, no problem.
I really like this hose! I have one quite a few of them and this one is great. I like how you can shape it and it doesn't squirm all round when the black tank dumps.
Quite a nice hose! I like how it hold the shape, for sure. However, I'd still want to add a clear elbow to know when the flow has stopped and after flushing, that the tank is pretty much clear!
I use a clear elbow on my regular hose I use when actually cooking up to a dump station. This hose is just really for quick dumps when I don’t flush the black tank.
I wish there were a way to store a 80 degree elbow fitting and a Valterra Dominator hose with end caps. The 90 degree fitting ensures that the hose will never come loose. I have used that type of hose for around ten years, with great results. Downside is that they often get stolen.
A question about this set up. Do you find the need for a termination of some kind on the end that goes into the dump station? Does the raw Rhinoflex end fit satisfactorily into most dump station inlets in addition to the one that you show at your house ? Thanks
I have a different hose I use when attaching to a sewer that has a threadedend. This one I use just for quick dumping where I put about 10 to 14 inches into the drain and dump my tank. This hose works great this way.
@@CampingCoastie I'm finally beginning to catch on. Does this mean that you carry and store two different hoses when you're on the road & if not can you tell which hose set up you use when actually traveling. Thanks again.
I carry what I call my quick dump house in the tube under the van. I carry a traditional hose with connectors on both ends in a plastic tub I carry in my cargo box or in the back under my sofa.
Thumbs up on the new hose. I’ll have to get one. I had the rhino flex with my last RV. It Was to long to fit in the holder on our Beyond. I’ve thought about dumping in our septic but was afraid it might mess it up because of the chemicals we add to our toilets. Do you have city sewer or septic? Don’t know whether or not it would mess up the system. I doubt it would since all the chemical does is mask the smell and doesn’t breakdown the bacteria🤷♂️. The snow globe and snowman coverup were hilarious. 😂🤣😂🤣
Nice work Gard! Love your intro with your neighbor......he was great! I hate the location of the dump valve and outlet on my 2021 Beyond. It is so hard to get to. I did install a 45 degree outlet which helps a little. Thanks for another helpful video. George in FL
I do have a clear elbow that I use when I am also flushing the black tank with the Black Tank Flush port. But just for quick dumps I just hook up the hose and pull the handles and close them when the liquid stops flowing. This is the hose I bought: amzn.to/3p0RG3X This is the coupler: amzn.to/2IfWEJt Those are affiliate links, no cost to you but I make a small amount of money on them.
Hello All, thanks for another helpful video. My question is about an older video. On your former coach you had a 22x59 Rola Cargo Carrier. Why don’t you use it on your Coachman Beyond. Would it allow you to open the back doors?
The Rola that I have has a curved mount that raises the basket so it rides higher. Plus the basket has a fence around it to make it more of a basket and not a shelf. Both of the make it impossible to open the rear doors.
Thank you Gard. I saw your other video on how to dump the black tank a while back and took notes. This made it look a lot easier. Just curious, do you carry this hose (for quick dumps) as well as the other one (when you are cleaning and flushing your black tank)?
Thanks. I carry my quick dump hose in the OEM tube carrier and my hose with connectors and the clear angle adapter in my cargo box I made from the bike rack.
Great video. I like the improvement you did to the black hose and thanks for sharing. Is there any special type of toilet paper you need to use for RV?
Love your van! I am still searching for the right RV for my family. What is your average MPG? Also curious on why you did not stick with Pleasure Way. Did you look at Ontour2.2?
We get 14 to 15 mpg driving 65 to 70 mph on the highway. We looked at the Ontour 2.2, it's very nice. We like the 600 AH vs 200 AH batteries and being able to run the AC on batteries for 5 to 7 hours. We like the kitchen drawers better in the Beyond. They both are nice, but the Beyond fits us better.
Okay Iffin’ my neighbor Wanted to me to come See his poopy-hose first thing that’d come to my mind would be~ “Stranger Danger!” Hahahaaa Like the hose 👍👍 _haha@snowglobe_

Where can one store the 90 degree fitting?
@@dfloyd888 about the best choice is under the rear seat in a Tupperware like box. Before I made my rear cargo box that is what I did.
@@CampingCoastie Ditto!
😂🤣😂Love the Christmas helpers on the screen... thanks so much.
Me too lol
Happy holidays! LOL
Well going to have to spend more money on a new hose. Great video's just cost money to watch. Thank you for posting.

I am thinking about purchasing the Coachmen Beyond in 2021 and I appreciate your videos. Great information. Thank you.
Glad to help.
Have to say you had me giggling when you were putting folds and bends in the tube. Boys and their toys! 😆
It was fun!

@@CampingCoastieso the clear elbow that you have how does that fasten to the new hose

Sad someone would steal a poop hose!

Thanks. I have a hard time reaching and pulling the black handle.
Who knew we'd be having this much fun today yeehaw.
Is the setup still working well?
It is and I love it! Bend it to the shape needed and when I open the gates it doesn't move. This is the best sewer hose I have ever owned!
Shouldn't there be a clear connector so you can tell when it runs clean? No link to the hose?

Gard, maybe this is a stupid question but did you install a dumping station on your property or just add an extension on your septic tank?
It's a clean out on my house sewer.
