I was surfing back in the '60s and still involved with surf music to this day . . . kinda like a drug.....!

perfect!! Tone, tune, great!! I was 5 in '62 and the intro to Wipe Out used to scare me half to death. Still loved this stuff (older sisters albums). Years ago (late 90s to early 00's) KFJC 89.7 had a Saturday afternoon show called Surf's Up. I was happy this was there. I'm also an Offset fan. First electric was a gold foil Audtion. Now Jagmaster. I should play it more.

He's using a fender deluxe reverb which comes with REAL reverb.. don't need fake reverb
Well you clearly don't know much, if anything, about reverb. There's nothing "fake" about that.
In fact it's more authentic.
External reverb units were made because bigger pans were needed. The on board reverb pans were simply too small. And they don't drip.
Each has their place and use, I have both.
