Do you have to preload the upper control arm/dog bone or can you tighten those all the way ?

I know it’s four years later, but for those in the future.. you should preload before tightening rear upper control arm

DirtyDogMech, have the same model & year as yours. My Struts' Lower 14mm Bolt Heads (both sides) snapped off (even used PB Blaster) when trying to remove. Other 14mm Bolts came out easily.
I have no torch, how would one take out the Struts?
Would you think both Rear Lower Controls (RLC)should be taken out and replaced?
Would you mind providing the part number RLCs) & price from Rockauto?
Mine is 2000 Honda Civic EX (5 speeds).

Noise sound coming from the rear driver side hitting bumps and potholes even after all those parts replaced.
    Help!
    2000 Civic nightmare,
both struts, lower control arms, dog bones, rear trailing arm bushings & driver upper control arm replaced.
darn thing bolts & nuts all frozen and rusted. many had to be sawed off.
    still getting noises when driving.
Can someone suggests what would be the problem is or need to be replaced?

“Dog bone”! Or the spot where upper control arms are connected to frame? Or trailing arms?

anyone reading this, if you have this problem, definitely inspect trailing arm bushings. Theyre often visibly broken and this could be the squeak
