I love the way Stan Lee thinks about comic books.I can not agree more with Stan lee what he has to say about imagination. When I was younger I had trouble saying certain words so a teacher suggested to my Mother she should let me read comics, because she explained reading comics would allow me to get interested in reading & my English would improve. She was right on that, but what they didn't know then was reading comics would allow my imagination to grow!
Stan's books got me into reading. I learned so many new words and found a fascination in reading the dictionary. He's right. Rest in peace, Stan. You were and still are my hero.
God just listening to this man talk makes you want to pick up comic books and read them for hours Such an enthusiasm about his work A shame writers nowadays didn't learn a thing from this great man
same happened to me i am not a native english speaker and i hated to learn in but once i only had the option to read the manga in english i started reading it and my english improved so much.
TV can work both ways. It can get someone interested in a comic or manga. That does happen still. You just need to expose them to it. Just make sure it's something they would like. Don't force adult stuff or kid stuff onto them. Let them pick after seeing some of them.
Wow Stan Lee made such a great point he is a genius in his own field.

What great logic. Why do people say that comics are lesser than plays and movies?
I would read ANYTHING and I LOVED Marvel comics!
What a legend. Fought in a war & made a legendary superhero series known as Marvel.
WW2 and...?
Kalle72 Vietnam.
Edit: Forget what I said! I don't know why I said this. Stan Lee fought only in WW2.

@@necklup4407 Correct. I don't know why the hell I said that. My previous comment has been edited.
Stan put the soap into comic books and that is fine with me.
