Hi Ilike so mutch your accent and your method... With you I learn depply and understand for ever each cours. Thanks a lot; I hope to be able to tale your so beautiful accent. Jila from France
Dear Minoo: I'm a teacher of English in Chile, and I am fascinated by this video! This is one of the biggest struggles my sutdents go through in lessons. I will probably be using this video as part of my classes, so thank you very much! But I have a couple of questions for you. 1. You mention that "at" is used for precise locations and events, why do we say "at the beach" then? It's not small nor precise and it's definitely not an event. 2. Then, you mention that we must use "in" for abstract locations and "on" for TV, radio, internet, websites, etc. (which I consider to be means of communication). Which preposition should I use for social media? They are abstract locations and means of communication. Is your video "in " RUclips or "on" RUclips? Where can I share my pictures? "In" Instagram or "on" Instagram? I hope you read my comment and I really appreciate your work. Thank you very much again!
You're most welcome, Fabian. To answer your questions: 1. If you refer to the actual beach where the sand is, the preposition is 'on the beach'. 'At the beach' is used to refer to a location that allows 'beach activities'. It becomes a little bit like 'at school'. 2. For social media, you might see both prepositions used, but 'on' is the favourite: On RUclips.
Thank you really very much ,l am watching continuously all your videos and they have helped me a lot.l have fared very well in my examinations and l will always prefer everyone to visit your channel.
Ma’am, I like your lesson. I have never seen a teacher who can teach like you. You are really amazing. One cannot stop learning from you I thank you very much from India!
A melhor aula de inglês do you tube, estou me interessando pelo idioma graças a esse seu jeito fácil de ensinar, obrigado Aglo-Link, vou assistir todas as lições.
Thank you so much, teacher. I've watched all the videos related to using prepositions as I find them really challenging, and I should admit that they were so useful and easy to get. I'd just like to ask how can I differentiate between 'to' vs 'into' as I find it still unclear? What I understood by final destination is moving to a new country or city to live in, but I think that's not always the case since I saw other examples like drive to work. I'm really confused about this part if you don't mind clarifying that for me. Thank you again!
Hello Amani, I'm glad my lessons on prepositions have been helpful to you. I have an additional lesson that may help you, but to access it, you need to be a member of my online course. Great lesson. It's really a different experience watching your lessons. Most of the confusions are cleared up. A question as usual -If I have a list of things and I want to check for a thing then can I say -I can't see flour in the list?
Thank you very much for those amazing courses. Your channel has become my best English channel so far. Some points weren't clear for me, I hope you explain them to me. For example, in 02:36 you've said: *When you refer to a place because of what happens at that place, you should use "at": And you gave the following example: -Today John is at work. *When you refer to a place as a pure location, you should use "in": And the example was: -There was a fire in the school. My question is: Isn't those two examples in controversy? I mean the first example is for the second tip and the second example for the first tip. I couldn't understand that part very well I think. THANKS IN ADVANCE PROFESSOR.
You're very welcome. No, there's no contradiction between my guidelines and the examples. He's AT school today (He's a student studying there.) He's IN the school today (not in the hospital), cleaning the windows. (He's a window cleaner doing his job.)
Best lesson. I was always confuse about this but after this lesson problem sorted. Many thanks Please can you share a video with me that teach me "direct indirect". Thanks again

Hi. I like your way of teaching
Many thanks.
I am grateful for answering. On the Internet I have seen this title
What to expect in Medical School .
Why didn't they say "at medical school "?
I got confused because we usually say at school when it is related to learning .
I think 'in' is the American version. In the UK, 'at' is more common.
