Rang Rasiya is a Hindi film starring Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen. The story is based on the life of the 19th century painter Raja Ravi Varma who trains under the King of Kerala. Later, he moves to the British-era Bombay where he meets Sugandha, his love, his muse and his subject. His fate changes when his artwork gets caught up in controversies. Will he be able to gain back his lost glory?

Raja Ravi Verma was a great painter and but the movie is pathetic. Indian film makers still fail in periodic films. It looks like the models are posing for photoshoot in traditional costume against traditional background setup. The music is irrelevant. The protagonist is portrayed wrongly. No technical challenges in painting in the period are shown. Raja Ravi Verma is internationally acclaimed artist and no international achievements are shown. The film is a joke.
