    If you take into account that this beaver women’s team was predicted in preseason to finish 10th in the pac 12 and it has no senior players (most of the starters are sophomores and freshmen) this tournament run is insane. I think this team will dominate if they continue to build upon what they have accomplished this season. Go Beavers!

    Notre Dame showed their lack of depth with their injuries but still no excuse for the terrible play by Hannah Hidalgo. She was awful in all of their 7 losses this year and shows her frustration way too much and needs to mature in the off season. But is the lack of depth from injuries due to poor strength and conditioning and therefore new strength and conditioning personnel for next season? It sure looks like their strength and conditioning personnel need to be changed. Plus they need more size in the paint and need a big player transfer portal player next season along with their new 5 star, 6'5" incoming freshman, Kate Koval, from their recruiting class. Kate Koval has the size but they need a top portal transfer size player as well to get beyond the sweet 16.

      U say poor strength and conditioning who are a a conditioning coach ? I'm sure these young ladies are very conditioned to play on this level and these young ladies didn't start playing two weeks ago they did just fine just came up short folks on RUclips say some dumb stuff

    • @midnight-2021
      @midnight-2021 7 месяцев назад

      @anthonytaylor7928 They are getting way too many ACL injuries which is a sign that their strength and conditioning personnel isn't training the players probably in development of strength to avoid these type of injuries. Strength and conditioning is a big part of a teams development and many strength and conditioning personnel have been fired over the years in college and even at the pro level. The Fighting Irish football team has fired previous strength and conditioning coaches in their past as have pro teams like my favorite NFL team, The Green Bay Packers have done in their history as well. When a team gets move injuries on average vs other teams, strength and conditioning coaches often get the blame and usually get fired. Notre Dame women's basketball has for the past 2 season had far more ACL injuries than a majority of these teams so this needs to be addressed in their off season.

      injuries are a huge part of basketball, ND is a fine team.

    • @midnight-2021
      @midnight-2021 7 месяцев назад

      @user-uy5jl5yn2o they are a fine team but don't have the best strength and conditioning coaches since they are getting more ACL injuries than a majority of teams. Strength and conditioning coaches get fired often when too many injuries are happening in college and pro sports. You people are missing the whole picture or are just completely ignorant of this fact.

      She needed Olivia Miles on the court with her but unfortunately she was out for the season from last years ACL injury which is an injury all too common for this Notre Dame team. The strength and conditioning coaches and personnel need to be held accountable for more ACL injuries with this team when compared to a majority of other teams since they seem to have more ACL injuries than a majority of other teams.

    Hannah Hidalgo cost her team the game, just as RJ Davis cost North Carolina the Sweet 16 game against Alabama and Couisnard cost Oregon against Creighton. That shooting percentage was horrendous. She also made the critical turnover in the final minute that led to Oregon State extending its lead to 4.
    The offense should have been run through Maddy Westbeld and Sonia Citron. Niele Ivey lost control of this team at some point. Hidalgo was slamming the ball, cursing, throwing fits, etc. At least Ivey benched her to calm her down, but she should have remained on the bench. The attitude problem and iso ball cost Notre Dame.
    I don't see her as the future of women's basketball; she's just a ball hog. It's a shame because Oregon State is soft and was basically giving the game away.

      Notre Dame had a great year despite all of their injuries but these injuries are occurring too often which tells me that they need to fire their current strength and conditioning personnel. Hopefully they get better at staying healthy next year and Hannah Hidalgo gets more mature as a player as well. Hannah Hidalgo has great talent but gets frustrated too easily and needs to mature. Notre Dame needs more size depth as well if they want to get to the Elite 8 or better. The lack of depth in the paint showed in their loses, especially this game. They are getting 5 star, 6'5" recruit, Kate Koval, next season but need a big transfer portal player as well. Hopefully Olivia Miles is back 100% next year as well because she was their best player the previous season. This team has so much potential next year if they get better strength and conditioning along with added big players in their depth charts. We shall see I guess but congrats to Oregon State in your win. Go Fighting Irish next season!
