Yes mate we’ll and truly back and I didn’t take you long to get used to the width of those handlebars coz’ watching you filter is like watching the millennium falcon making the jump to light speed 🤣🤣 awesome riding and awesome content as usual. Haha sorry about that! The GoPro will make it look faster 😉! But I do generally filter quite fast, rude not too lol! Mate I am absolutely in love with this bike, been riding for 17 years, and I’ve never had anything with so much maneuverability, with grunt! Yea absolutely love it lol! Smiles all round! But I won’t be using it to commute everyday, il get he z800 back.
@@T4M_online Good to hear! Yeah I love mine too, it checks a lot of boxes for what I want in a bike. I put the heated grips on mine, they work great, you should get them if lot of cool days there. I can’t lane split where I live so I’m not used to it.
Yea mate SDR’s are the ones! I have heated grips on my z800, found it to be good, but just heats up your palms which leaves your knuckles which is brunting the cold to freeze lol! I’ve got everything on mine bar heated grips lol!
How have I not seen you? I work by plough Lane Wimbledon and turn off at rosehill. The guy on the blue sv loves the back wheel as I've seen him many off times lol
Hi mate, sorry for the late reply, I pass that area a lot, usually as I’ve got a site running there! Yea I see him often, he does indeed 😂… Next time say hello mate 👍🏻 ride safe
Great vid mate I'm looking at going for a naked after riding sports bikes for the last 21 years looking at the usual but the super Duke seems to be I don't know something different. Any advice on what to look for when buying one are there any problems with them ? Forgot to mention I'm looking at the gen 3 😃 TIA 👍
Hi Mate, thanks for watching & commenting. Right!!! Where to start lol! I’ve had plenty of bikes since the age of 20, I’m 37 now, The Superduke is by far the best bike I’ve owned, it’s stupid crazy, but at the same time comfortable & easy to ride, silly amounts of aids & extras. So When I purchased mine I had non negotiables, had to have a track pack, that’s inclusive of the autoblipper & quickshifter, I wasn’t worried about heated bars or seats! I’ve not had any issues in the 4 months I’ve owned one, I purchased mine second hand, therefore the warranty left was 3 months, so I wanted to make sure nothing was wrong, and in 3 months I’ve put 4000 miles on it, commuting to work just to make sure LOL! not a peep… started everytime (it’s summer I know) no issues with the engine, one thing I had was a loose wire on the light housing but easily sorted. And that’s it, if you go to a forum you will scare yourself as you only find issues, very rare you find any good reviews, I am part of a group on fb called Superduke 1290 r owners, and it’s nothing but fun & good times. The typical issues are radiators leaking (but I don’t think people put a rad cover on) there are more issues with Gen 1 & 2’s, rads slipping from frame on a poor design, bud these Gen 3’a have had their problems addressed and lessons learnt. I say go for it mate! You will have an itch that always needs scratching, I did and I’m very happy for now! I can’t tell you for sure you won’t get an issue but from experience I haven’t so I hope that’s reciprocated I’d you do decide to bite the bullet. Good luck & most of all ride safe
@@T4M_online dude thank you so much for the reply it's a nightmare trying to decide what to go for but the Duke does seem to be the one I'm going for thanks again for the advice much appreciated 👍
No worries mate, anytime, if you have any other questions I’m happy to answer for you! Lot of stigma on reliability due to the older KTM models, they’ve learnt from feedback & moved forward… going for a ride now lol… have a good weekend & ride safe 💪🏻
It helps massively, put it this way, it can take me 2.5 hours in the car each way, that’s morning & afternoon! It’s all about the bike! In regards to the s1000rr, not different riding position from my r6! Not comfortable for commuting mate! Il stick to uprights, abit gruntier low end and don’t have to work the gears as much.
Great stuff! 👍 The fuel gauge on my KTM is mental! It claims only 50 miles left, big warnings about low fuel, but then it usually takes less than 10 litres in to fill it (14 litre tank) 🤔🤷♂️
Mate as I said in the video, showing 50 miles on range, 20 miles to get home! And 10 miles in I’m at 0 fuel! Really makes me nervous. Nothing like a manual gauge sometimes! Back to old school!
The standard mirrors give a really good view, but at high speeds they tend to brake easily + it doesn't look good. Small mirrors are nice, but you have to look down to use them. With the standard mirrors you can always see clearly without looking down. Given how much you've already done with your bike to make it look this good. I would recomend the small mirrors, but face them up instead of down.
Ktm is baas ... quater mile runs will be neck and neck after that the bm will start to open up , guys must remember we got no fairings to hide behind lol but the comfort and the grunt aaahh never go back to liter bikes for 20kph more onnthe top end .
Mate your filtering made my smelly freckle pukker right up! Balls of Steel. Stay safe
Hahahaha I’m pinning this comment
Your riding skills are mustard.. loads of confidence 👌
Thank you for your comment sir 💪🏻

Your lane splitting gave me anxiety, maybe it’s just the fisheye go pro camera affect. How you liking the SDR?

You must get around so quickly regardless of traffic ! Do u consider going for an r1/s1000rr?

Filter satisfaction. Welcome back mate, bike is an absolute beast
lol thanks man! Glad to be back! It’s such a crazy machine! Can’t believe the power in the thing most of the time.
Best filtering on the internet

Thanks Gino, appreciate the comment! I’ve always been a fan of smaller but I believe facing up to the better option too 👍🏻
I've got ktm 1290 gt , for 6 months now, and I haven't even switched to sports mode yet , it's stupid fast
It’s ridiculous isn’t it? It’s in sport atm but I haven’t tried track 🤦🏼♂️! Everything is basically off!
@@T4M_online Gt doesn't have track mode , but I imagine 😳 how crazy it would be to ride without any aids like abs or traction control
This beast has an amazing amount of torque.
Really is! Power house on all gears! You have one too?
@@T4M_online I wish I had money😔. But I will have it soon.
If you will have it soon great man! Great things come to those who wait! Ride safe 👍🏻
Love the new bike 😍👍
Thanks Steve! Beast
