I quilted my first quilt project when my daughter was in kindergarten. I was busy and did not quilt again until my daughter was a Freshman in High school five years ago. I was just doing four patches and nine patches until I came upon your tutorials a couple of years ago, I have made a few baby quilts for family members and two breast cancer quilts using the quilt as you go method. I would like to thank you for the simple and straightforward easy instructions to quilting. You let us know it's ok not to be perfect and that gives me confidence to try new things.

This is a great tutorial! Jenny you and Vanessa really make it easy - you are both great instructors. This pattern is a great hit with my friends. I made one bag for me and now I'm making 8 more from requests from my friends.
I bought this In-R-Form batting a year ago and finally used it last week. Made my own bag pattern and really loved the way it turned out. My only problem was sewing the side seams together where you had a double layer of the foam. Had to go out and buy an upholstery needle and thread to complete that part of the construction. My niece is getting married next week and going on a Disney cruise for her Honeymoon. I made a Minnie/Mickey lined bag with inside pockets and a zipper placket. Also used the In-R-Form to make a cosmetic bag. Also turned out beautiful. Absolutely love this stuff. Just be sure to have a heavy duty (or Embroidery) needle for the construction part of your bag. Too bad we can't add pictures on here.
Two of my favourite teachers in one video, I love it! This tote just screams "Fussy Cut!!" Definitely tucking the idea in my back pocket for a rainy day :)
I'm not a Gemini but a Cancer, my oldest grandson is a Gemini (June 13). I just love this project. I've made several quilts using the 2 1/2 inch strips so I have lots of scraps that I can use to make this bag. What a great and easy way to use them. Thanks Jenny, you are a peach!!!

I had so much fun making this bag and really appreciate how easy you make everything! Keep on quilting!
This was so incredibly easy both of my daughters made one for themselves. I haven't been able to get my 12 year old very interested in quilting but she made a tote!

As someone very new to quilting, I love this bag. It gives me an idea of some of the basics and was very easy to make. I have made one quilt for Quilts of Valor, which went to my husband. The pattern was just blocks in strips, alternating the blocks.

I saw this video the other day for the first time and it was either part 1 or 2 that you girls were chatting about both being Geminis. Vanessa, I think you said you were born on June 1st and I think Jenny was born on June 11th and I had to laugh because my birthday is June 21st. I thought it is no wonder I like these girls. I think that Geminis must just be crafty creative people. I loved this video set.

Made this with a cute navy and green mini design roll called Simply Colorful II from Moda. It is going to be my beach bag for my cruise. So much fun to make. I wish I had added some pockets, but I plan to add some on my next one. :)
My Bernina Bernette 50 machine would NOT sew the tote bag shut with the regular presser foot and regular needle - I kept getting "bird's nests" underneath from my top thread. I am so glad I already had a walking foot and a needle for "Heavy Duty" fabrics, or I would not have been able to finish this project. Please keep in mind you may need to suggest other attachments for those of us with less expensive sewing machines. Great project, so glad I was able to finish it!
