Your tip about not preparing the binding first by ironing is great advice. So many times i end up struggling to get it to cover the stitch line. Thank you!
I followed this tutorial step by step to make a reversible Rubble (Paw Patrol) tote bag for my great niece. More Minky Kim, please!! I was able to understand every step, and she is soooo personable and sweet! I wish there were an option for photos so we could share. Thank you, Minky Kim and Fat Quarter Shop, for a great tutorial!
WOW!!!! It looks very complicated and overwhelming to make, but when you see the step by step and the way she explains it, it's really not! Please please please, more tutorials, because I follow better with a video than with written patterns, and y'all are awesome at making the complicated ones easy. Please and thank you!!!
Thanks for the tutorial! When I do machine binding, I use 1/4" double sided washable tape. That really makes for a nice clean binding because you can get right up to the binding sew line.
Wonderful! I'm beginner in quilting and binding, and this great technique helps me a lot for my first quilting project with a basket for bread. Thank you very much and kisses from Germany. 😘🤗
Definitely the 1D in the beginning, then the 57D dual feed presser feet were used. The walking foot would be a good idea for the thicker parts and quilting 👍
Love the bag! I love the step by step tutorial too. Sometimes written directions confuse me. Keep the videos coming, gonna be quarantined here in NC for 30 more days at least! Lots of time to use all my fabric! 💕🌼🌷
I have just purchased this fabric from joining an Australian group love and hugs by Natalie bird. I've done a fairy quilt of hers. I was wondering what I was going to use it for must have been dreaming of going to a cafe while we have been in isolation in Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺. Now I know what I'm going to make thanks for posting all these lovely videos and I love the use of the Bernina and how easy the quilting is
Hello Brenda! Our foundation paper is made with paper. Minki Kim used Soft and Stable batting - www.fatquartershop.com/by-annie-soft-and-stable-white-project-pack
You can save some steps and money by using Pellon Flex-Foam 2-Sided Fusible Stabilizer instead of Soft & Stable. You make the sandwich and iron, no need to pin or clip, fabric will not wrinkle or shift!
Hello Jodie! If the top is not flush with the batting, it will wrinkle and pucker during quilting. For instance, if you're quilting on a home machine where you roll it up, you may need to re-adjust and smooth it out as you go along. We have lots of videos showing quilting on a home sewing machine.

At 5:35 you discuss quilting the crosshatch style, do you have any other tips for helping the fabric to NOT crinkle please ?
Wonderful making of tote bag . I want to try one. Will you be able to tell how to do zip for this bag ? Thank you
Hello Dr Cheems Superfood Odyssey! We have a tutorial available here: ruclips.net/video/Y6HSwnf2jU0/видео.html
Did you change the placement of the handles during the course of the video? Maybe 3” to 5” from the outside edge?
Is your foundation layer Bosal? Thank you for your detailed tutorial
Hello Brenda! Our foundation paper is made with paper. Minki Kim used Soft and Stable batting - www.fatquartershop.com/by-annie-soft-and-stable-white-project-pack
@@FatQuarterShopTX Awesome. I will wait for it to come back in stock after the holidays
We will have more later this month!
You can use the glues roll on glue too.
Muito linda 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I love thisssss, where can I get that fabric that has the cute houses on it?
Hello April! That fabric is from the Moments collection by Minki Kim which is no longer available. You can try checking eBay.
Hello, may I ask you what sewing foot (number) are you using for this work? I have the same sewing machine as you. Thank you 🙏🏻 😊
Hello Malu! Minki Kim used a walking foot that came with her machine.
Looks like the 57D to me.
Definitely the 1D in the beginning, then the 57D dual feed presser feet were used. The walking foot would be a good idea 👍
Greatb
What kind of fabric do you use?
Hello Gauri! You can find Minki Kim's fabric here: www.fatquartershop.com/minki-kim-riley-blake-fabric
What pressure foot are you using when you are sewing the binding on?
Hello Diane! We recommend adding binding with a walking foot if you have one. But you can also use a regular open toe foot.
muy lindo.m gustaria q colocarsn las medidas.
You need a ByAnnie stiletto!
You can save some steps and money by using Pellon Flex-Foam 2-Sided Fusible Stabilizer instead of Soft & Stable. You make the sandwich and iron, no need to pin or clip, fabric will not wrinkle or shift!
Just wondering if you quilt and it gets wrinkly why is that?

I need pockets, can you include pockets in instructions?
Where do I get the measurements
Hello Melany! The measurements are available on the pattern here: www.fatquartershop.com/quilted-shopper-bag-downloadable-pdf-sewing-pattern
@@FatQuarterShopTX thank you
I am confused how you did the bottom of the bag on each end I didn't see it on the video. Did I miss it.
Hello Donna! She repeated the steps she did at 7:23
@@FatQuarterShopTX I was trying to see how she did the fold on each corner of the bag. I couldn't tell.
Check video at around 15:00. She folds the bottom completely ‘in’. Hope this helps
😍😍😍
