Same here. Mine does the same exact thing. When I let loose of the buttons when the Android symbol comes on, next the Kyocera logo comes on then it just boots like normal.

This is to anyone who is locked out of their hydro wave! I accidentally stumbled upon a something weird. I've managed to make the camera crash to the home screen somehow. I believe this was a result of holding both volume buttons and opening numerous menus while using the camera. My guess is that it overloads it after a certain amount of times and causes it to crash. I've gotten the android UI to crash like this before. I will try to recreate the scenario and update you guys on this. it's on a Kyocera Hydro Wave. Running android 5.0 I believe. Try going wild until the phone starts to lag. eventually stuff will crash and the lock screen may go with it. use this to your advantage and enable USB debugging as quickly as possible because it will reset itself after about 30 seconds. So far one person told me this worked for them. It just might work for you as well. If not try gunking up the storage with long videos since you can access the camera. when you run out of space, things start to crash sometimes the lock screen UI. if you get in, remember be quick. Revoke USB access, Activate USB debugging do whatever it is you have to do so you can access ADB commands. Or Update it to the version that allows factory reset. good luck. spread the word to other people locked out of their Hydro Wave.

sign a new email on the device.and then go to google and go to "My Account" the when you go their go to "Find your phone" Then click on the phone you are current using and then erase whole phone

Overall it's pretty good in the way it functions and it's program. And as of the battery it is a maybe half a day kind of duration.

The carrier really doesn't matter, the phone is the same, the software is the same. So the carrier doesn't play a role with a hard reset.
