This is the best discussion of permatease that I've ever seen!! Seeing examples of different wigs that illustrated your points was so helpful!! I also love how accepting you are of the different attitudes about permatease, passing no judgement on those who either love or hate the presence of those crimpy fibers!! You just make everyone feel that the way they feel is just that and always okay, and I adore you for that!! ❤
Thanks! Yes, I know everyone has a different preference. 😊
I really enjoy your videos. Just enough information and you don't take a million years to get to the point. I lost my hair due to chemo and discovered the wonderful world of wigs. My hair was thin so my next wig will be a non permatease one. So far I've been lucky as the wigs I have purchased aren't too poofy. Thanks again for the info.
@@ronaldgrant9062 glad the info is helpful 😊
This is exactly the information I was looking for! All in one video. Thank you VERY much
@@user-vi3re9wr3o wonderful ❤️
🤣 That is so funny bc the permatease looks so much more natural to me. My natural hair is curly and anything just flat screams wig to me. I guess it really is what you are used to looking at.
Thank you for the info on the wefting as well as how permatease can lead to heat retention. I overheat so easily that, even though I’ve been lucky to have great hair, I’ve never been able to grow it out because it becomes too miserably hot and scratchy on the back of my neck.
That is one of the reasons I’ve been looking at wigs - so I can t enjoy long hairstyles for dressing up, but take the hair off for hiking, gardening, swimming and sleeping.
Thank you! 🙏 ❤
So glad you found it helpful!
Girl, this is amazing information and I am going to share it around❤❤❤ I love my permatease and some of my very first wigs were the low budget with permatease❤ but I am learning to wear lower profile now so those are fun as well😊😊😊😊
@@WigsGlam it’s fun to mix it up 😊
I like both depending on the style. Long styles I prefer no permatease. Short to medium I like a little permatease. I have Gabor Trend Alert and it def needs permatease to give it that glam sexy look. Thanks for this.
@@kakilong agree!
I was never a fluffy hair girl before I had brain surgery and they shaved my head so I am a no with permatease tooooo wiggy for me but I am obsessed with wigs I must say
@@merryt I understand! It’s not for everyone!
Super helpful! As a frequent belle tress wearer, I wasn't sure where I fit in. Thanks
So glad to help!
Everyone, recently Costco established a business relationship with Chiquel. I ordered Drew by Jon Renau in shaded praline for a great price. It’s a fantastic summery longish piece with low density and no permatease. I’ve been wearing wigs for two years: simmer and ignite mostly. But Drew feels like home. Thanks Amanda for all the training and encouragement!
@@ellenjo283 aw you’re welcome! So glad you’ve had success with our Costco partnership and with Drew!❤️
Great job explaining, you look Beautiful in any Wig, or Without
God Bless 🤗😙❤❤
Thank you so much!
I feel like a little bit like in my favorite wavy day helps me to disguise my bio hair underneath.. but I’m still learning about all of this! Thank you for the great info Ananda ❤️
I like permatease...some styles need it
Totally agree!
Thanks Amanda! I got a Zeal as my first wig, and hated the permatease. Also found out the hard way that Noriko runs too small for me. So a couple of lessons learned!😊
@@barbmcculley9354 sometimes it is trial and error. 😔
I actually like some permatease in my wigs. Reason is my bio hair is so thin and lacks any body. After spending years styling , backcombing and spraying it in place, only to have it flatten out an hour later, I prefer wigs that have a little more lift and volume at the crown. Not too much, but just enough to still look natural!
@@pavill3880 yes! I agree!
Helpful info. Thanks

@@garysmith701 amen! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Funny- I have a new wig on today- Happy 4th of July everybody-Charlotte by Tress Allure- and yes, it has permatease! However, I cut bangs on it to look more natural ( you don't see that it's a basic cap) and I rubbing my hands together and laying them on my head to bring down the volume a tad. My favorite wig is Zeal by Noriko- I buy the rooted colors and most people do not even realize I'm wearing a wig- even with a bit of a "matted" top.
Great job in making it your own!
Excellent explanation!!! ❤❤
@@JenniferMartinez Thanks, Jennifer! 😘
I actually have a sensitive scalp, so 100% hand tied caps work best for me. However, there are times when I want the poof that permatease gives. In that case, I wear a wig cap.
Hi I really like belle tress destiny and other belle tress styles but I can't ever find dark brown in belle tress they seem to stop at the lightest brown!!! 😢
the struggle to find the right brown is REAL.
What is the wig and color around the 8 minute mark? I love that color!
@@ScreamingSardine all the wigs are listed in the description. 😉
@@chiquelwigs - Yes, I checked, but I don't see the wig that's shown at the 8 minute mark. At the 2 minute mark, Celine is mentioned. At the 3 minute mark, Editor's Pick. Avalon is around 4:30 mark. Dress Rehearsal is around the 11:30 minute mark. Nothing about the wig at 8 minute mark. It looks much different than the other wigs mentioned.
@@ScreamingSardine oh I’m so sorry! I missed that one!! Thank you. ❤️that is May by Noriko in chocolate frost rooted
@@chiquelwigs. I guess I’m learning because I said to myself, the shape of it looks like Noriko!!
@@Mexicobeanpole haha totally!! It definitely has that Noriko look! 😅
You are absolutely learning! 🥰
Of course it's all a matter of taste, but unfortunately I don't think it ever looks really natural.
I also think that too much volume no longer looks contemporary.
Yep, definitely a matter of taste!
I need a wig that I can part on m the right side…help please
@@estelaseale6968 go for a mono top so you can move the part anywhere you want! 😉
@@chiquelwigs mono top wigs
@@estelaseale6968 yes, a monofilament top allows you to move the part anywhere.
I’m not a fan of permatease.
Many aren’t.
