I've never heard horn playing like that before; like a whisper. I've heard Andrea play many times, heard many trumpeters from Armstrong to Davis but I've never hear anything so haunting come from a horn. Then the arrangement seems to swirl around the structure of the song the way some jazz does, almost rendering the familiar chords unrecognizable as if the whole thing is something else entirely. And then Ms Motis comes in with those vocals, her way of holding a melody, nurturing it, causing it to blossom before us. Something els entirely indeed. Brava.
Wow, how wonderful... The Beatles, Andrea Motis and Marco Mezquida "together". And of course, the miracle happens. Logical. I think the song is one of the most beautiful created by that great Lennon / McCartney duo. And Andrea and Marco cover the song in their own way, with exquisite talent and taste, leaving us with a happy smile. Marco playing fantastic (this time without strange things), simple, beautiful, masterful. And Andrea in her full maturity as a trumpeter and vocalist. I already said: simple, beautiful, with taste, talent, mastery, mature... Without doing gratuitous experiments, it was not necessary. In fact, its are never needed, really.
Every time Andrea releases a new video, I think she's finally reached perfection. It doesn't seem possible that she could surpass her own best work. However, she keeps attaining new heights that set new standards for what is deemed musical perfection. I've neither seen nor heard musicians do this on a regular basis since the Beatles. Andrea Motis is blessed with a gift that only a handful of all the people who've ever lived have received.
I just found your channel on RUclips, I went to few of your concerts in Barcelona few years ago, and love your sound. Your way to play piano is pure delight. Thank you.
Really nice. Turning such a sweet flowing tune into rhythmic jazz is no easy feat. This was cleverly done. Next time a little more thought about the breathing and its placement to soften the edges of some of the phrases night be worth considering.
Yes! Rock and jazz are two totally different genres and they do not easily blend or translate from one to the other or vice-versa. Andrea has done it flawlessly. Hard-core rockers could be turned onto jazz aficionados by Andrea.

Andrea's singing has recently taken on a new feeling. It's like she is reaching a new level, and it is great!
Polished, delicate and tender arrangement that is musically unleashed to perfection ... precious!

🎉
And the photography isn't bad either ! ! And in B&W !
I don't mind, in the least, being no one...
with Sarah and Nina
Andrea Motis en a fait du chemin depuis l'école de Joan Chamorro ! Désormais femme, elle a atteint des sommets, mais certainement pas le sien.

Pity about whoever if anyone is operating the camera.
Piano audio track is bright an a little too loud.
Andrea's track is slightly muffled and not quite loud enough.
Rotten camera work. Creeping in extreme close-ups into peoples faces - that's disgusting. Not comparable to the excellent work of the Chamorro-videos.
It’s dreadful like two people making a racket
