Could the 3179 be referring to the watch's BIOS?

Ironically, was just wondering why my similar model (world time instead of atomic / mb6) does not appear to be solar charging?
I'll try the solar test, and if that works, I can only suppose the person I bought it from had a nonrecheargeable battery installed?

My first question is always this: Where are you using the watch and what time zone have you selected as the home time zone?

Thank you. Would you happen to know what battery goes into a GW-M530A.... I searched and searched and came up with CR1616 but not sure.

Thanks for your very helpful videos!
Do you have any idea why on some of my g-shocks the tilt sensor for the auto illumination isn’t working? Maybe I not wear them often? They’re around eight to ten years old. The normal light funktion is ok, the battery’s are stil strong. When I do the tilt test, it seems the tilt sensor is not working. Is there a solution?

This is a fairly common problem, unfortunately. The 'tiny ball' that rolls downwards to activate the light when the watch is tilted sometimes gets stuck. So far, I have never managed to get it unstuck once this occurs. I tapped the watches, banged them on the table and even dropped them onto concrete but nothing worked. Hope you had better luck.

@@firstaddz8100 thanks for your answer! But now the tilt sensor is working on all the g shocks with this issue. Just wear it and be patience. On some the function get back within some days, some after some weeks. G Shocks have to be wear.

I think 3179 is the module number of the G2310

Hi. I found the technical service manual for the GW2310 which sheds some additional light on what the test screens are for. One of them locks the frequency for an accuracy test. Also you can do a manual receive for any of the 6 towers, I might see if I can get Ft Collins from the UK using the metal frame method:

Numbers too small on most Casios, I'll take a Timex Ironman.
