When a was kid we had a special spot on the river wear Sunderland used to dig harbour rag white rag from one small beach was absolutely lethal climb to get to it , used to dig as much as we needed then go along roker pier we were only 12 Yr old kids and would have adults on there absolutely fuming as to were these kids were getting the bait from used to often out fish the adults that were there , this was in the 80's when Ower rod rests were made from three lengths of 2x2 and brass hinges haha happy days anyone remember them home made rod rests .
Trevor bringing fish over in a bucket without water and Tony with 2 whiting bouncing all over the pebbles.. That's them pair's card chucked out of any open.
i remember fishing the shakespear open a few years ago and i was pegged next to the great alan yates ,,he kept casting over my gear ,,i did get annoyed with him ,but it happens sometimes i guess
Why can't those fish be put in a bucket whilst you do the rig swap over and measure, terrible fish welfare. Love Tony and his knowledge but this really let's him down.
