Bought mine earlier this month, the GM-B2100BD and I am loving the dark stealth look. Bought direct from Casio and paid £399. One big gripe is the app "Casio Watches".. Would not install on my phone and none of the other apps listed this particualr make. So got myselfl a newer phone (cheap one) and installed "Casio Watches" and all went well on the first run, sadly on the second and subsequent runs, al the settings that appeared on the first run just don't appear. All I can do is check the manual.. I have contacted casio about this and 'fingers crossed' they will get it sorted.. Congrats to them for merging all the apps into the one, but with a serious bug like this, I can't say I am that impressed right now. The watch itself however, is definitely worth the money and I am very pleased with it, especially as it was marked up at £499.
Well it is a toy watch at this price point. Its made to troll with the Swiss watchmakers. These bluetooth connections are just extra add ons that barely anyone with play around with or take seriously. It looks good on the wrist along with the waterproofing and solar. You want connection you buy an apple watch.

Sadly casio have produced too many apps and have now decided to merge them all into one, leading to problems, which I am sure they will eventually put right. For now I have a quality product which I got at a very reasonable price and to call a watch a toy and then mention Apple watches, tells me that far too many put brand name before quality / value for money.
@@andrewlee6152 well I think people use watches for different reasons. Apple watches are for people who prefers an extension to their phone. Casios is a lifestyle watch its worn for cosmetic reasons. People wear them without thinking about luxury or utility. People who wear Patek wear them to impress at parties so on. What you wear depends on your personality and mood.
I was all in on this watch until I heard it was $500. I think one of the things that originally made the GA2100 so compelling was the price point. $500 just feels like too much for a digital watch, even if it’s a god tier casioak
This video of yours was exactly what it took to get me to order the black version... and I ordered it from your company, my first order from you. Placed my order last night, my order was shipped a few minutes ago. Excellent!
The 2100’s are just too big for my wrist. So I keep looking and came across the casio edifice efs-s570. AP inspired look, solar, all metal & it’s under $150
I bought one of these but had to return it because there wasn’t enough contrast between the hands and the dial, making it basically unusable to read as an analog watch. Loved the material finish and everything else about it otherwise.
I got this one, the dial is sooo dark, inside rooms or during winter, cant see anything on the dial. I am very sure they used a lot of lighting to make the dial to appear "brighter", but even under perfect conditions in this video it still looks dark. Only pro, at first glance it looks like a royal oak yes.
I think the point of Casioak mod community is that they like building the watch. It's like modding cars or building PCs. You can go buy a brand new one with better stats (maybe not for the PCs) for more money, but there is fun in building your own Casioak. For people who don't want to deal with it, I think this is a great choice - especially the bronze one looks awesome. Now, is it $600 awesome? Probably for some.
I like the idea of modding, but I decided against it after realising that this version came with improvements over the GA-B2100, and that it's made in Japan.
Imagine this #beautiful watch with: - silver hands (not the muted ones now) - no stupid Bluetooth written on the dial - Multiband 6 Thank you #Casio 😊 💓 Thank you #Japan 🇯🇵❤️
Black dial with black indicies, black hour and minute hands and black digital display.... but it's G-Shock, for adventures people who want to know the time at a glance.... I don't understand this concept at all. I'm a G-Shock fan, I've owned several, but I don't understand why Casio loves making dark unreadable dials like this! There's nothing adventureous about such watches. Also, is this watch as blingy as the full metal square GMW-B5000D-1ER? Because I saw that one in person and I thought it looked so bad! It's so glossy polished and almost every edge is rounded, it gives the impression of a plastic watch dipped in chrome. Or like I'm not looking at the solid metal, but at a heavily applied glossy coating. Or like the case is poured in a mold instead of cnc machined. I love the idea of full metal G-Shocks, but I think this particular model is executed very very badly.
What waste. If your going for GA-B2100 then wear it like it is, instead of trying to Frankenstein it into something else. I doesn't look as good. If you want SS then get the full SS. For $550 Id pick up a Echo Drive or Seiko but thats subjective
What i don't understand about this is why the massive price bump from the GM-2100? The only difference seems to be the strap and the price doubled unless obviously im missing something.
What the heck? 600 USD? What kind of metal is this... Titanium? Tbh I´m still absolutely annoyed by the fact that the LCD display is unreadable because negative and there still no minute markers. The best feature on this GM-B2100D-1A: solar charhing.
got this full metal version yesterday for $455 i know negative display looks like, but because that negative it looks cooler. it’ legit cause the watch connect to the app seamlessly,
The legibility on these full metal casioaks(except copper) is very poor. I’ve worn them at the showroom and didn’t buy because the hands were barely visible..
I have a couple resin 2100s and I got the gold solid metal 2100 when they were released. Holding a modded resin and the full metal in you hands there is no comparison. I have zero regrets buying the full metal one and will probably end up with all three. Im waiting and hoping for an anniversary edition next year.
Very nice! But I can’t get over the ‘mode dial’ 😑 I loved the ‘day dial’ from the ga2100 - I do not understand why they changed this. Especially when with the Bluetooth function/app you’re going to be able to see what mode you’re in just fine. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk (see what I did there 😉).
Finally, they have lume indices on these Full Metal CasiOak. But what is beyond my understanding, it is almost unreadable digi display. Legibility is pretty bad. At the same price as GMW-B5000 (Full metal Square) which has great readable STN display. The CasiOak "normal" display is too weak. In some condition not readable at all. Besides of that, it is cool statement watch.
My issue with G-shocks is the super tiny watch faces in a massive case size that are SUPER busy and not easy to read at a glance. They scream “how much gimmicky stuff can I cram in here and still sell it?” It has nothing to do with the resin case lol.
If you think that these watches are gimmicky, then it clearly means you don't get the G-SHOCK brand at all. They wouldn't sell so damn well, if the features they had were actually useless. Having a watch that does pretty much everything, whilst being tough enough to withstand damage that would destroy other watches, is pretty damn impressive. They're also really affordable, and they make models that suit almost everyone.
This watch does not exist with a silicon strap ?! There is a similar shaped G-SHOCK with a silicon strap but Bluetooth version like GM-B2100 does not exist this way. Maybe i'm wrong... Silicon or Nato strap options would be really awesome with this watch and that's why i'm waiting before buy this watch.
Great review as always, I was a little disappointed that you didn't have more to say about the quartz movement it's self. Can I assume that it's a higher quality quartz movement than you would find in the sub $100 Casio's? And is there actual metal used in the quartz movement rather than Essentially all plastic as you see in a lot of courts movements today?
love my GA 2100 but the biggest problem with this model is most colors are really hard to read. Everything from the hour/minute hands to day of the week. I love the styling but I've had to return 2 different watches cause I can't see anything. Before buying I highly suggest getting colors that pop vs any of the dark colors
sorry, but the price hike is riodiculous. From 100 to 550 just because of metal? Some cool mid level bracelets are going for 50 bucks or so on for many brands, why do casio think they can charge extra 300 or whatever? There is no value to buy the metal version

I love the 360 vibrations per hour of casio. sign me up.
Imagine this #beautiful watch with:
- silver hands (not the muted ones now)
- no stupid Bluetooth written on the dial
- Multiband 6
Thank you #Casio 😊 💓 Thank you #Japan 🇯🇵❤️
You forgot sapphire crystal. Insane for this price they skimped on it.
GA-B2100 - $150
A mod bracelet - $50
Saves $350 and arguably better looking
Updated design
@FPS GAMING your caps lock must actually be locked you moron
You are forgetting one important thing. Screw caseback AND FULL METAL INSIDE. GAB2100 is just normal resin version just with metal case.
What waste. If your going for GA-B2100 then wear it like it is, instead of trying to Frankenstein it into something else. I doesn't look as good. If you want SS then get the full SS. For $550 Id pick up a Echo Drive or Seiko but thats subjective
Yeah, but this model has improvements over the GA-B2100.
Better lume, LED brightness and metal indices.
Nice video but non-contrasting hands are useless. They might as well not move if you can't see them.
When I first glanced at the title of this vid I thought it said “Casioak Goes Completely Mental”
The dark hands on a dark dial completely spoils it for me.
WHY do Casio keep making the same mistakes?
got this full metal version yesterday for $455
i know negative display looks like, but because that negative it looks cooler.
it’ legit cause the watch connect to the app seamlessly,
Just bought today for 470euro (new year sale) and very happy of them
The legibility on these full metal casioaks(except copper) is very poor. I’ve worn them at the showroom and didn’t buy because the hands were barely visible..
agreed. the only thing that keeps from jumping in. needs more contrast on most color variants
My problem with the Resin Casios is that the strap is too dam long. My wrist is almost 7" so kind of medium but dam that strap can go around my ankle!
I have a couple resin 2100s and I got the gold solid metal 2100 when they were released. Holding a modded resin and the full metal in you hands there is no comparison. I have zero regrets buying the full metal one and will probably end up with all three.
Im waiting and hoping for an anniversary edition next year.
that's what I wanted to hear, now I take my decision
I am about to buy the dark all metal one…how does the band hold up to scratching? I am concerned with the dark band scratching
How is about scratch resistance?
You should include a segment where you show what watch you are wearing while shooting the video.
The version that comes with the resin strap has the normal day dial.
Very nice video... Love the watch as well...
I have a question though... Can we turn the Bluetooth off on this...
They scream “how much gimmicky stuff can I cram in here and still sell it?”
It has nothing to do with the resin case lol.
I have this watch and let me tell you I’ve met guys with Rolex watches on give me compliments and say it looks so much better in person
I like how Casio produce reliable high quality products. Most consumer goods today break easily.
This doesn't even have sapphire glass bud.
@@cooloutac Sapphire Glass breaks easily bud, it's only scratch proof.
At first glance it's an AP Royal Oak, crazy!
I might get one of these. My GST model is super beat up from work.
The Johnny number 5 in my soul is screaming yes but when you said "Blingy" my soul whispered, "what kind of laser lips are you trying to be" lol
If this had a screen and GPS so it could be a work-out watch I would buy it immediately.
I like the full metal package & great design. I'm ordering
Shame about the price, no way I can afford that, but I like it.
I wish they would factory make one all black with just the stainless bezel like the GBX 100
just check what time it is on your phone
Can you review the marlin automatic 40mm green dial dome watch. curious
I want a matte black version.
Add some features
Phone finder and
Blood pressure
Steps counter
Is there a steel version that is smaller? 40mm perhaps? Perhaps a women model?
Notice the Pushers more accurately known as buttons hahahahahaha
I like it but at $239 price point. This is a ridiculous price point. But its a nice looking watch and I've always wanted to mod the basic G Shock.
I love ana-digi, and it's my edc, but, unfortunately we have a few premium players in the field. So I'll wait titanium casio oak😎
How i can understand if my watch is not original ,what i need to now ? And how i check
black on black...; what time is it??? i can t see
I was expecting you to show the light
What watch are you wearing in this video Teddy?
Thanks for the good review here Teddy ..!! I am also a big fan of your website > 🙂
I have it and it's beautiful!! Ok maybe sapphire would be a +
No sapphire crystal for that price is a deal breaker.
Would love a comparison between this wonderful watch and the GST b400.
What watch are you wearing Teddy? Looks like a vintage three-hander
I loved the tiffany MTP1302D-2A2V from Casio
best watch ever owned
First, I own two.
Second, I hate that the hands disappear into the background.
The watch has two jobs, tell time and look good. It only does one.
love my GA 2100 but the biggest problem with this model is most colors are really hard to read. Everything from the hour/minute hands to day of the week. I love the styling but I've had to return 2 different watches cause I can't see anything. Before buying I highly suggest getting colors that pop vs any of the dark colors
I’d love to approach this watch but my wrist is similar to teddy’s in size. The fact that he didn’t wear it made me suspicious 😅
First g shock. I'm a skinny guy. 5'7 130. My lady and 2 daughters say it looks really good 👍 doesn't feel or look big at all brother.
sorry, but the price hike is riodiculous. From 100 to 550 just because of metal? Some cool mid level bracelets are going for 50 bucks or so on for many brands, why do casio think they can charge extra 300 or whatever? There is no value to buy the metal version
Thanks Teddy!
Traditional digital vs smart technology? Know thats a route I would love to see casio do.
HEY!! TEDDY WHAT IS YOUR WATCH THAT YOU WEARED IN VIDEO ?
Kinda wish we could see what the watch looks like in natural setting without all the editing effects and color correction
Teddy is so good, I bought this watch already from him!!!
In the famous words of nico leonard........ GOD TIER
They need to make this in 40mm, would be perfect.
