Nice video, I was the one you were transmitting to WRUE-980. Have a good day and keep up the good work.
Oh hey, very cool
Really enjoyed the video. Thanks and 73's kb1pyb from New Hampshire.
Good informative info on radio
Nothing matter with repeater courtesy tones this way everyone gets chance to talk without walking over each other .
To bad there's ain't more repeaters in other states PA is still dead with few 10 mi range repeaters half way across the state and the stores still talking about stocking shelves on 462.725 .
It would sure be great get a good repeater in area so it be worth the license"s
Do you have idea if this device has roger beep? I readed the owner manual, i dont know how to set it, thanks
Hey Eric what is your fusion repeater node number for fusion in Florida
Eric, can this radio be opened for transmitt on ham bands? Don K7DT. I've only gotten about 3 miles range in Florida wooded areas 5 element beam at 25 foot to mobile with mag mount. You didn't mention how to set or turn off the privicy tone. I can hear this radio but it can't hear me.
Do they make a dual band ham or a commercial rig in the same or similar form factor that is ip67?
Do they come in 50 Watt systems?
You usually don't need 50 watts unless you are trying to blast through dense forests and dont have any elevation :)
Something I'm curious about... Why is it that so many amateur radio operators seem to have a strong dislike for the Roger beep?
I love a Roger beep on my CB radios but through repeaters it gets very disturbing to some
A lot of users who are on the radio all day wear headsets, most roger beeps are VERY loud and sharp... not a pleasant experience, and being on the repeater there is a courtesy tone and the carrier drops so it is evident when the transmission is complete... in addition to proper repeater etiquette allowing a few seconds before replying makes the roger redundant.... and as a final there can be large volumes of traffic on a repeater by nature so it gets old fast :)
Wish it had a wide recieve
are you saying it is preprogrammed for narrow band?
@@mgentile7 you can only recieve gmrs frequencies you need the ham version to be able to receive more frequencies
How much is it please mate
Can you hear the police and ambulance fire doorman mate
about $120 USD on amazon
Hell no. I’ll always have my roger beeps
