This makes me happy as an Mexican French American, I grew up eating those snacks because my mom is Mexican- french lol ( born and raise in Mexico ) but I am very happy that the mom’s like them 🩷🩷
France has the best bakery and desserts in the world. As a Mexican American living in Europe and having the privilege to travel to France (and other European countries), they are definitely kings in that department. And yes, a lot of the Mexican bakery and desserts are similar to France because France conquered Mexico for a period of time and influenced our bakery, 70% of our bakery has French origin/influences.
The thing that I always found with Mexican bakeries when I traveled there was that there would be five different shapes of cookies, but they all tasted essentially the same. Same with the breads
@@LindaC616 there's a lot of bread that is just not good or that is great depending on the bakery. I would say just ask or pay attention to what people is buying the most. Every bakery has that one thing they excel at. Cookies are generally bad idk why they keep making them, and puff pastries with savory fillings are usually something you can't go wrong. Another tip is that bread varies a lot per region. If the region is generally cold the bread is gonna be dry, airy and on the mild side because people dip it in hot thick drinks like atole and chocolate before taking a bite, so get a drink. If the region is warm like the Yucatan peninsula where I'm from people often eat bread alone all year round (and our hot drink of choice is usually milk coffee), so the bread is flavorful, moist and very fatty.
@@ChocoRoles I've never had a beef with the bread, though pan de agua is still my favorite. But those dry cookies and conchas aren't worth the calories.
