My job is drivning a lot så my hamstrings have resigned. Met many doctors and all of them says that this is chronical an I have to live with my hamstring pain. Thats not my plan.... I started lifting weights for two years ago and I am a little bit better. For a little while ago it hit me that I dont train the adduktors, only the abduktors, so I tried it. Both times Ive done it the hamstrings went a lot less distressed and the pain went away. I googled it an here you are, confirming my theory, that they are kind of attatched. Thank you so very much ❤️

Wow, this was so interesting and useful for me - I have suffered with "congestion" in that area whilst running for ages now, and also weak adductors since having my little boy (also have a tendency of an overactive pelvic floor) - it was so great to see all of the connections to try and pice everything together, thank you! :)

WOW! Thank you so much. Everything you have said was me and my situation... naturally very flexible in the hips, years of long distance running and 3 years as a market gardener have left my right hip and lower back in pain originating from where my hamstring connects to the sit bone. And I just keep going for massages and stretching the hamstring. 3 minutes of doing this and the pain level has dropped in half.

I really value explanations like this and I feel that visual aids are definitely essential to that, but I would like to suggest that it is dramatically more useful to use aids that actually represent what the actual body looks like rather than a drawing that very loosely approximates it. This can be done using 3D models (either digital ones or those doctors often have in their office that can be taken apart like a puzzle). My favorite visual aids so far are those you see MoveU using where an anatomical artist paints onto the skin (or underwear) of an actual person - the limit here being that it is ultimately still a 2D representation of 3D body parts. I have a few free apps on my phone that let me see into the body and it is immensely helpful so I know that this can be achieved without spending tons of money on the visual aid.

Great video! Great drawing and explanation. I'm an LMT trying to figure out functional anatomy of adductors/hams in relation to bending the knee. A couple times a year I can't bend my knee due to restrictions at quad/platella. No pain just restrictions... Not using glutes😝

Beautifully explained but it needed a modification for those who cannot put that pressure on the kneeling knee. Many people with this problem have knee problems too. Could you perhaps do one ?

that's some pretty incredible ankle mobility/flexibility for the exercise! Id love information on poor ankle mobility. I am one of those people who believes they have a short achilles or os trigonum, because my ankles lock preventing deep squats, or elastic demi plie in ballet (heels come up). I might have tight calves but don't have any ideas how to release them other than the foam rolling/pin & strip exercises I've found, and it doesn't seem to be helping. It would be nice to see how to trouble-shoot that before demanding an xray!

I am a 70 year old retired coal miner and 4 weeks ago a consultant gave me a steroid injection into the muscle of the torn ligament I have in my left groin but it did not work and I have to now go and see a pain specialist to have a more powerful injection under anaesthetic but what I want to know will my torn ligament heal on its own or do I have to have this other injection or is there anything I can take to help it heal like any herbs or supplements.

The position you showed, the hip is in flexion, abduction and external rotation. While sqeezing onto the knee in flexion and then releasing it, how does it activate adductor magnus? Is it an eccentric contraction?
