      @ronaldrose6885, Thanks for watching. We're now at the time of the year with the fewest daylight hours, and pretty cool and gloomy skies. This is the time to be making coffee or ramen videos.. LOL.. I don't have any more accessories on the shelf left to install, and I don't see any new Honda models on the horizon, so I am running out of ideas for videos. Another problem is that other than Lake Beverly, there are no interesting spots close to me where I have water or scenery to include in a video. I envy the RUclipsrs from Thailand and Japan who can always find a stream or a mountain in the background, or a scenic view. Being flat land here, there aren't very many scenic views, and just as few running streams. Also as you know, many of the trails here have gates with "No trespassing" signs on them. Goethe Forest and Chassahowitzka Wildlife Management Area have the best trails and are free for the old and slow, and while I never get tired of riding there, the videos are pretty much the same each time. The sand at Richloam was a surprise, and I have sort of ruled out a return trip there. The Withlacoochee State Forest tract closest to me has some deep sand too. The Trail 125 is getting a bit heavy for me to load into the van and unload by myself, but a field trip to the mountains of south Georgia when the weather is warmer might be an idea.

    Thoroughly enjoy your videos! Putting on the cap and vest is a good idea, as it's been proven many hunters' eyesight and judgement get worse when they get excited.😉

      Hey Vaughn, good to see that you're back on the I.C.E bikes again, nothing wrong with electric but at least you have the choice again and are not restricted by range, I like eating Eastern food with chop sticks as well, it adds to the culture experience of it somehow.
      those hunter Cubs seem perfect for that sort of thing, I would struggle to carry that much on monkey, but saying that yours is made for hauling big bags of mail etc and I dont have a side rack yet, shame the rain caught you unprepared, hope it didn't shorten your trip to much!?..

      @Vintage_Garage  10 месяцев назад

      @@CrustyBiker Crusty, Thanks for the kind words. I have top cases on my Monkeys that can hold all that stuff, except for a full sized fishing rod, but I could pack the 8 piece rod in a pinch. I put an aluminum Gcraft rear rack on my first Monkey, and bent it on the first trail ride. I ended up adding steel stiffeners to that rack and it now seems fine. On the second Monkey, I put on a Kitaco rear rack and it is very strong. I don't think you can buy the Kitaco rear rack from the Thailand sellers.. I have to get it from Webike.

      Tim, Thanks for watching and your comment, much appreciated. It's been two weeks now since my second eye surgery, and so I think I have a pretty good idea now of the results. I can see distance objects noticeably better, but can't seem to find reading glasses that allow me to read fine print as well as I could before the surgery. My eyes have recovered well enough that I am almost at the point where I don't have to use extra care when I sleep, I have made a couple of rides on the Monkeys and Trails to Lake Beverly and back, and also with the Motocompactos. I edited this video with my new eye lenses, so at least I can see well enough to edit videos, but just barely. The weather here has turned pretty cool and rainy, but I need to make a proper trail ride on the next good weather day. I think I can see potholes in trails better now, but am not sure I can read the gate boards at an airport.

      Matt, so far the eye surgery is a bit of a mixed bag. I definitely see distant objects more clearly, and I think I can see potholes in the roads and trails better, but can't find any reading glasses that let me see fine print as well as I could before with reading glasses. It's been two weeks now since my second surgery and three weeks since my first, so I am getting back to normal activities. I think the risk of infections or complications are mostly behind me. I am still trying to figure out if I have enough energy and stamina for international travel.

      @MancingTanago. The eye surgery went well, and the recovery period is almost over. I can distant objects better now, but I am not yet sure if I can bait a hook with your egg and cracker bait. Looks like a neat place, must be north? Looks like you’ve gotten some good rain 🌧️ so far with much more on the way tonight, it started raining here about one thirty but we have just gotten about 0.15” to this point..!!! 🤔

    • @Vintage_Garage
      @Vintage_Garage  10 месяцев назад +1

      Anna, You are right about that... we have had a cold rain here all day. I taped the video just before my eye surgery last week and the week before, so editing the video this morning was a good test to see if I can still see.. LOL I have already made a test ride to see if I can still ride, but didn't tape it. Now I need to figure out if I can see well enough and have enough energy for international travel. Samurai Rider and his family moved from Bangkok to Naha, Okinawa, I think so his young daugther can get a proper Japanese education. I have been to Okinawa several times a few years ago, and it is fairly easy to get there.. I'm not sure though that I have the stamina any longer. Each country with left hand riding is tough for me too, so the only way I'll be able to ride in Okinawa is if I can follow him on the road and trust his judgement at intersections.

      @@annafraley5388 The rain is letting up here now, and I see that the weather station on the top of my roof hasn't been reporting to the internet for about a month now, so that Is something I'll see if I can work on today. I hear you on the international travel. Even with my improved eyesight, I still wonder if my mind is good enough for travel. I am likely to lose my passport or other important things every time I change clothes and once a day, I spend at least 10 minutes looking for something I lost. Here is a reply that I just also sent to Retro_iron: It's been two weeks now since my second eye surgery, and so I think I have a pretty good idea now of the results. I can see distance objects noticeably better, but can't seem to find reading glasses that allow me to read fine print as well as I could before the surgery. @@Vintage_Garage so one part is worst but the other (distance) is better, 🤔 I need Both to be Better, was yours for cataracts ? That’s what I need.
      Our rain is leaving in an hour “eleven am” and we now have 3.7” but we Never heard it once, it was All a very quiet rain OR we are going deaf ..!!

    • @Vintage_Garage
      @Vintage_Garage  10 месяцев назад +1

      @@annafraley5388 Yes, cataract surgery, but mine is also complicated by macular degeneration. (AMD) I just had standard lenses put in because I said I didn't mind wearing glasses. I think in the end, I will end up wearing progressive lens glasses, with no correction near the top of the glasses, and more correction near the bottom. If you want to be able to see distance and close up with no glasses, then you will need a different lens system in your surgery. If you want to get scared, do a You Tube search for cataract surgery and it will scare the hell out of you.. LOL. The first step is to bust out and remove your human lens and then replace it with an artificial lens. Once your human lens is busted out, there is no way to revert..
