So I have the P320 Legion with a competition trigger job from the SigArmorer and it's taken the P320 to an amazing level. With that said, I can convert my P320 over to an X-Compact and obviously keep the amazing trigger job without having to buy another pistol and have to pay for another trigger job. The advantages of going with the P320 X-Compact is you can run the Romeo1 Pro optic instead of the Romeo Zero, and I think we can all agree the Romeo1 Pro is a VASTLY better optic. I carry a P320C in .40 with an Icarus Precision grip module, 2 extra extended mags, a fixed blade on my belt between 7-10 inches, my phone, wallet, folding knife, and headphones in my pocket. I dont all of that combined is much at all and I’m 5’6”, 130lbs. I like heavier. Just get a good belt and learn how to properly distribute the weight. Not throwing shade btw, just saying imo, a little weight isn’t bad. If anything I’d hate a lighter smaller gun cause I cant feel as much. With my 320, I know if it’s on me. Maybe it’s the fact that I’ve carried it every day for 4 years and it’s become less noticeable. But I added weight and like it more.
The question you should ask is why did they use 2 different fcu's? They could have been able to use a single fcu for both. They are both the same stack style for magazine and same caliber. They use a similar slide locking system and rails but they wouldn't make money on both if they interchanged.
I REALLY like the p365 I have for carrying so concealed no one will see it, even if they're trying to see it. But it's very small (and harder to shoot quickly because of the kick) and only holds 10 in my current configuration for concealability. I tried my friend's new p320 X Compact, and it fit my hand like a glove.
I had both of these and I still have the P365 XL. I sold the Xcompact but that left me with a gap in my rotation, in order to remedy that I hoy a CZ P10S OR for $300 less than what the Xcompact cost. Soooooo happy.
I’ve been saying this for the longest! I have both. Shot both and honestly, I’d carry the p320 xc solely for the comfort and familiarity of the wider grip. Great video. Just sub’d.
I own both guns and love both guns! With my P320 X, I will carry it a majority of the time. But if it’s summer time and I am needing to go somewhere then I will carry my P365 XL.
I might try the compact frame on my X Carry. Then again I don’t really have an issue concealing the X Carry with the 2 extra rounds. Really good comparison.
Nice comparison. I lost faith on the the P320 as the ones I purchased always had a failure to fire at times. You make some fantastic holsters. I do carry the XL as it has been perfect for me. No failures so far after more than 2 years of carry time.
It's not so much the thickness as the distance from the front strap to the back strap. That helps a lot with having enough space. on the P365XL my support hand barely has room to even contact the gun due to that.
I edc the 365xl with a holosun 507kx2 red dot and I've never had a failure to fire, and I have consistent playing card size or less groupings at 25yds and probably a 50 cent piece at shorter range.i absolutely love this thing.and I can IWB carry in shorts and a t-shirt w almost no printing issues
Very thorough, informative video. Thanks for the analytics, both look to be great guns. I’m going to try and put some range time in on both before I decide. But I am leaning towards the 320 because of the comfort , and that I do already own a delta pro.
your slow motion footage looked like the compact was less recoil flip. at least from what i could see. great video thanks for taking the time to compare them.
I own a p365, a p365xl with a Romeo zero and a p320 xcompact. P365 was a 10 round mag with mag guts to achieve 12 rounds in the 10 round magazine. That is the best for concealment. The p320 in my opinion is the best gun to shoot and I carry it a lot. One of my favorite pistols. The 365 XL with the Romeo zero to me doesn't really excel in any aspect. But for my wife she carries it it feels a little bit more confident when shooting it and likes the red dot.
@@ariesnc6320 Yes I've actually switched and I carry the p320 x compact everyday. I can shoot it so well and I don't find it to be that much bigger on my hip
I'm still shocked that the XL has a longer barrel than the XCOMPACT. I pretty much base it one how tight my pants and shirts are. If I have the room I got up to my xcompact or my 229 Legion. It's actually hard to decide which I like best.
@Obi-Wan Kenobi I got it for a really good price. Something to the tune of $800 if memory serves me correctly. Doubt you'll be able to get it sub 1K now but it is one of the finest guns I own.
Is it just me, or does the bigger gun (320) kick more? I must be one of the weird ones, that actually finds the smaller guns, have lower recoil. (At least, when I shoot them.)
I can’t comment on the p365xl as I have not ever held or shot one. I do have a 365sas bought the 365x slide with night sights and Romeo zero from Sig. It is nice but just so small. I got the p320 x compact RXP and that is my every day carry no matter how hot or cold great size and weight. I gave my p365 to my wife. I am sure the p365xl is amazing as the two dogs I have are great.
The shots in this video were the first 64 rounds fired through the gun. Failures started occurring 27 rounds into the test. I think the gun I've got is cursed. lol
This helped me decide…..p320 x compact it is. Thanks. Great content. Thorough as my borough. PS…..I’m also going to grab the XL as well for tight concealment option. Bing bong
I have both the 365XL and the P320 Compact. I also have a full size P320 M17. The XL is my EDC. I do have magguts kits in the mags so basically 14 round capacity, and i LOVE how it shoots. My P320 Compact is usually either my winter carry or my carry gun when I'm away from home for extended periods of time like vacations. The M17 is my home defense as backup to my AR. I love all 3 of my Sigs and honestly I'm super happy carrying either the XL or the 320, but the XL is just much more comfortable.

@@tusharin1984 Harry's Holsters makes outstanding holsters, I own quite a few. Off the shelf, it depends where you live. Mission First Tactical makes very good holsters as well and can be found in some firearms stores.
I love my P365XL with a Romeo Zero red dot. It's an all around great pistol has the size accuracy and 15round cap mag but I've always wanted a P320 m18 idk why. When I pick one up I'm like yea this might be a little bothersome to edc giving my frame which is I'd say medium but it still intrigues me and I will always want one. Maybe sell an AR to buy it?
The newest p320 RXP compact is so much better than that one. Mine came with Romeo 1pro but I have an RMR on mine now and it came with the co-witness sights that you don’t lose when you get a red dot.
Nice comparison! Yeah it’s always a tradeoff shootability vs concealability. Two upgrades I recommend for the 365XL the Hogue sleeve grip (makes the grip feel like a bigger gun) and Magguts 12+2 insert to add two capacity. That way, the 12 rd mag which is flush with the grip can carry 14 +1. I got the 365XL on sale with the Romeo Zero, that site is a piece of crap. I will be upgrading to something by Trigicon or Holosun. Undecided.
I think a lot of people have wanted to see this but since the guns are in such different classes a lot of content creators haven't thought about it or they just don't have access to both.
@@mattrust348 That the manufacturer calls it a sub compact has nothing to do with how it'll actually conceal. It's a very large gun and basically the same size as a P320 X compact and Glock 19 but has only a fraction of the capacity.
@@HarrysHolsters I can get a full sized grip on my p320 x compact, my vp9sk leaves my pinky hanging unless I use their extended grip mag. Also have a xdm sub .40 which is really close to the vp9sk in size. I carry at the 4 o'clock, so the sig is slightly harder to keep from printing (in summer clothes). Still my favorite carry. I would like glocks, but their grip angle isn't natural to me.
I don’t know man. First time at the range (gun not me) I drew my concealed XL cold and delivered two fatal hits on a bad guy target 20’ fast enough to impress my wife, and that’s fast. Yepper, I can stand and shoot targets better with a full size gun. I think the XL is the ideal carry gun.
I’m in the process of buying my first handgun and taking CHL classes. I’m in the fence between the P365xl vs G43x and now the P320x. I like the size of the P320x but not sure if it’ll be good for me since this is my first handgun. Be fore I even start to carry going to learn safety and how the guns shoots and operates of course.
Honestly for a first handgun the P320 X compact is going to be a lot easy to learn to shoot with and get the basics down. The G43x and P365xl are shootable but they are still more challenging than the larger guns. The only upside they have IMO is concealment unless you've got really small hands and have trouble gripping the gun which based off your profile picture I'm going to guess isn't an issue.
I own both, XCompact is a great all around gun. 365XL is great for concealing and EDC. XCompact is concealable too but a lot easier on your hands at the range if you’re just having fun plinking/practicing. Personally, my XCompact is my truck gun and if I’m wearing clothes to conceal it. I grab my 365XL without even having to think about outfits. Don’t regret either. But if I had to pick one in your situation, XCompact or even the XCarry for the 17rd magazines standard.
Just bought a new 365XL recently and put my first rounds through it today. I had two failures to return to battery in approximately 150 rounds. Never had this problem before with glocks, S&W's, or the regular 365. Not sure what the deal is but I'm not carrying this anytime soon. WTH again sig?? Also noticed a weird shifting of rounds in the grip after the action cycled when firing. Never felt anything like it before. Also, the action was very gritty feeling when i first purchased this and still is now.
Not being a smart alack, but I've watched many videos on the 365s non of them mention any of the problems you mention with so few rounds. How can rounds. "shift in the grip?" Are you what the comments call a "trol?"
hey young man, thank you so much for this video, you really helped me make my mind up. I have a 320X compact on the way and I am about to order the 365XL, in this POLICE STATE of NJ, we have to wait 30 days between each purchase of a firearm.

The footage in the video was the first 64 rounds fired before the 1000 round test. I ran fine which is most of the reason for the frustration in the video.
Thanks I took my 365 XL to the range only ran 100 rounds through it and I have a few failure to go in to batterie. Thanks for the feedback I’ll go run some more rounds through it.
Phillip Collins what ammo? The 64 rounds of lawmen ran fine but the same ammo rounds 900-1000 had 5 FTRB. Then 150 rounds of that ammo ran fine today. So I don’t know what to think. Also reviewed footage to rule out user error
Harry's Holsters Just 100 rounds of some 115 G Winchester white box I had laying around. I’ll plan on picking it up some federal American eagle someday soon. 124 or 147G
I have the p365, p365 xl, and p320 x compact and it is very difficult to choose one. The xl is more concealable but I like the feel of the x compact better. Possibly 320 in the winter and xl in the warmer months. I prefer both of them over the original 365 and if I had to pick one it would be the x compact.
Also this was a great video and hopefully it will help people decide. It’s always a good problem to have when a manufacturer makes too many good guns to choose.
It's a medium. The only size I've seen on guns that come straight from the factory. I doubt it'd be that different for 98% of shooters. For some an improvement and for some a worse grip. Just going to depend on the shooter's hands.
I owned both. When Sig came out with 15 round mags for the XL, I sold the X Compact. The XL has a smaller overall footprint yet has the same capacity. The XL is also optics ready. For me, it didn’t make sense to keep the X Compact when the XL can do everything the X Compact can do and in some cases even better.
I have both and you made my holsters for both. Well, I bought the x-compact frame for my x-carry so it’s not exactly the x-compact but the minute length on the slide/barrel is no hindrance to me. I have the Zero on my 365XL and the Romeo on my “X-compact”. Both are Tac drivers. I personally prefer the 365XL from the holster as I shoot better with it for some reason.
4:32 if you unlock your elbows, your elbows will absorb the recoil energy so it doesn’t move all the way to your body. I know it’s only fractions of a second but I think it’ll help speed up shooting some
Mitch Rosen’s Exclusive Holster is nice. Fits the FN compact also. Even better actually so if you have that gun really comes in handy. That’s with or without a Red dot! Runs about $80.
The p365 series would be better with a grip that was thicker front to back. They should release a grip like that for the gun, basically like the S&W Sheild Plus grip.
Is this the new P365 "x" or "X-carry" slide? If you notice the rear of the slide looks exactly like an XL but the front is a regular P365. There is no taper in the rear, probably because of the optics cut and there are only 5 serrations in the front, so this isn't an XL or a regular it is sort of both with just the X logo on the side. www.sigtalk.com/threads/please-help-me-id-this-p365-slide.399795/#post-5623792

Unfortunately, your preference due to the 320 fitting your hand better doesn't make it the best choice for everyone. I carry my Sig P228 for winter and 365XL for summer. FYI, I've shot 1000 rounds through my 365XL with no malfunctions.
I love the X-compact but I only have the regular P365. No issues so far with either one, but I definitely prefer the X-compact. It's just easier to shoot and I prefer a larger grip. That limp wrist testing looks painful, appreciate the effort Harry!
Check out the new P365X. It has the same grip module and trigger of the P365XL but the slide/barrel length of the standard P365. It makes shooting much more enjoyable, recoil/snappiness easier to manage, and it's super concealable like the standard P365.

I think I'm sold. I have been debating this for a year and a half.
Except it’s not a Sig!
I am considering to sell my Xcompact too and keeping the XL. I have a HK p30 LEM arriving tomorrow.
@@casilatino I’ve since repurchased the Xcompact because I missed it so
About to purchase a xcompact. But this was the first video that made the 365 XL look awesome to me
Buy the xl. I have both.
Great vid.
Love the Limp Wrist testing.
Too many "reviewers" just want to show how fast they can run around a course against a timer.
I have a regular Sigg 365 and the X compact if I had to give one up it be the 365 I love the X compact like them both really
The 365 can’t be compared to the Xcompact but the xl can be and I prefer the xl.
I might try the compact frame on my X Carry. Then again I don’t really have an issue concealing the X Carry with the 2 extra rounds. Really good comparison.
If I were to carry one that's exactly what I would do!
I'm leaning towards the p320 x compact
Nice comparison. I lost faith on the the P320 as the ones I purchased always had a failure to fire at times. You make some fantastic holsters. I do carry the XL as it has been perfect for me. No failures so far after more than 2 years of carry time.
Almost all of the problems plaguing the p320 series was fixed with the M and X models.
I've got over 1000 rounds through my first P320 without a single failure of any kind. And she's only been cleaned once. I love that pistol.
Noticeably Less GripReAdjust with 320 X Compact (for Author)
Familiarity or Grip Thickness?
Or BOTH?
It's not so much the thickness as the distance from the front strap to the back strap. That helps a lot with having enough space. on the P365XL my support hand barely has room to even contact the gun due to that.
A great comparaison well explained X compact
my choice
Too bad you don't make any holsters for the Xcompact. Don't tell me the Xcarry/compact will fit, because they leave too much space at the end .
I wish I could find a compact conversion kit for my p320x full size!!! I've been looking for this very comparison!!! Thanks!!
I love my p320 xcompact. Best shooting 9mm I’ve ever handled. Most accurate also.
I had better shooting with the 365xl ..... buuuut...... the 320 is better?
I have both compact in 45 tho. Love them both
Do they make a P320 x compact with a thumb safety or just the P365?
At this time just the P365 and other P320 variants
I have an X Compact and I hope SIG comes out with one with a safety and/or a safety retrofit kit. Love this gun!
your slow motion footage looked like the compact was less recoil flip. at least from what i could see. great video thanks for taking the time to compare them.
It's a much easier gun to control and shoot. The P365 is shootable for it's size but nowhere near as gun to shoot as the X compact.
Do you find it easy to conceal the P320 X Compact ?
@@ariesnc6320 Yes I've actually switched and I carry the p320 x compact everyday. I can shoot it so well and I don't find it to be that much bigger on my hip
@@DeadeyeDgen Thanks for the feedback. I am looking at the P320X compact and the Springfield Hellcat Pro.
@@ariesnc6320 both good guns I just like how the p320 fits in my hand better Hope it helps you make a decision
I'm still shocked that the XL has a longer barrel than the XCOMPACT. I pretty much base it one how tight my pants and shirts are. If I have the room I got up to my xcompact or my 229 Legion. It's actually hard to decide which I like best.
That 229 Legion is my dream gun, but I can't quite afford to drop $1.3k yet. Maybe in a year when I'm making more money.
@Obi-Wan Kenobi I got it for a really good price. Something to the tune of $800 if memory serves me correctly. Doubt you'll be able to get it sub 1K now but it is one of the finest guns I own.
The p365xl is more concealble, but the p320 x compact you can use for conceal carry and to have fun at the range as well, maybe IDSC.
Have them both and would never pick between them. Love both equally! Best 9mm guns you can buy!
I’m reading the steel mag release on the 320x gets rusty. True?
320 compact for large handed EDC and standard 320 for home defense? Or are they too close and redundant?
Just ordered the 365Xl. Like the g43. Going yo switch to the sig for awhile
Is it just me, or does the bigger gun (320) kick more? I must be one of the weird ones, that actually finds the smaller guns, have lower recoil. (At least, when I shoot them.)
How do you like the straight trigger as opposed to a more conventional circle trigger
Bud the trigger of 320 way better than 365 ?
Im going to buy one of these 2 guns. Just trying to figure out what one. If i can find one i want lol
Both great options. Excellent thoughts & good comparison. Exactly what I have been considering. Thanks.
Harry did you resolve the issue with the 365 XL? I remember you had a problem when you
First shot it.
The shots in this video were the first 64 rounds fired through the gun. Failures started occurring 27 rounds into the test. I think the gun I've got is cursed. lol
have both...prefer the 320 over 365....However....My EDC is Still My 1911 Officers model !.....Thanks !
I love my X-Compact so you know what I'm partial to. Nice comparison.
Haha! I think I agree with you!
I need a holster for my x compact....any recommendations for ones that can be bought off the shelf ? I’ll look at these Harry holsters too, just never heard of em before
@@tusharin1984 Harry's Holsters makes outstanding holsters, I own quite a few. Off the shelf, it depends where you live. Mission First Tactical makes very good holsters as well and can be found in some firearms stores.
Where did you get those holsters? Need one in my life they look badass in white
I have both.. I edc 365xl... love both
I mean I appreciate the viewpoint but I do question the usefulness of some of your testing protocols.
Do you know the P320 compact nitron? Could you recommend it for home defense before the P365XL? greetings from Argentina!
Nice! Thanks for the input
Nice comparison video, both look like good choices but for different reasons. Thanks for posting
Yup! One is pure concealment and the other is easier to shoot!
Undecided.
Very Nice Comparison! Carry on
Thanks Big J!
That camera angle aligning gun with ridgeline = Genius.
Finally a video on this!
I think a lot of people have wanted to see this but since the guns are in such different classes a lot of content creators haven't thought about it or they just don't have access to both.
Harry's Holsters good point. I couldn’t decide which one to get over the other. So I got both!
Charles always the best answer when deciding which of two guns to buy! Get both! 🤣
Would the p320x compact conceal better than the h&k vp9sk??
I don't have them side by side but probably identically based off what I can think of.
Harry's Holsters Thank you!! Think I’m gonna go with the Glock 43x
No, the VP9SK will be easier to conceal as it is a sub compact.
There's a very noticeable difference in noise, between the two guns.
Ive got some olight flashlights that im looking for a holster for.
Unfortunately no light bearing at this time. Thanks for watching!
@@HarrysHolsters So you are saying that ya'll don't make a WML holsters for any gun?
@@douglassalley9117 yup
@@HarrysHolsters Thank you for info......I'll just keep looking!
Sir, can you suggest a holster maker that does make "light bearing" holsters?
Both are great. The p320 x compact for me though
Have you shot it anymore
Not being a smart alack, but I've watched many videos on the 365s non of them mention any of the problems you mention with so few rounds. How can rounds. "shift in the grip?" Are you what the comments call a "trol?"
My rule of thumb is 200 rounds min for break in period’
hey young man, thank you so much for this video, you really helped me make my mind up. I have a 320X compact on the way and I am about to order the 365XL, in this POLICE STATE of NJ, we have to wait 30 days between each purchase of a firearm.
Thanks for watching! Sorry for all the BS you have to deal with just to buy a gun in NJ.
Even the police in a police state has to wait 30 days.... how sad
I need a holster for my x compact....any recommendations for ones that can be bought off the shelf ? I’ll look at these Harry holsters too, just never heard of em before
How did you fix the failure to go into battery on the 365 XL ?
@@ricklucas9424 I think your summer winter carry plan is pretty accurate for what most people who own both will do.
Which grip on your 320x compact? Considering date of vid I would say it is not the small. I wonder how the small gripped 320 would compare?
It's a medium. The only size I've seen on guns that come straight from the factory. I doubt it'd be that different for 98% of shooters. For some an improvement and for some a worse grip. Just going to depend on the shooter's hands.
Why don’t you carry holsters for lefties?
ruclips.net/video/aorMk0qqNc4/видео.html
Excellent review, just ordered one from eurooptic. Was $550
About $618
Out the door!
Again great video
If you don't have a large hand, pick 365, it's very very comfortable to shoot
Excellent video!! Thanks for taking the time! Subscribed and liked!
Nice video, thanks Harry! Will the P320 xcompact fit in a P320 compact holster?
Like a glove!
The xcompact is also optics ready.
Hey dude love the videos. Mad respect. Do you make holsters?
Thanks! Yes we do.
Hey bro what holsters were you using?
I have both and you made my holsters for both. Well, I bought the x-compact frame for my x-carry so it’s not exactly the x-compact but the minute length on the slide/barrel is no hindrance to me. I have the Zero on my 365XL and the Romeo on my “X-compact”. Both are Tac drivers. I personally prefer the 365XL from the holster as I shoot better with it for some reason.
The X Carry with a compact frame is my preferred setup.
Hey there good video and info I have had both great guns .sold the XL and kept the Xcompact just like it better
4:32 if you unlock your elbows, your elbows will absorb the recoil energy so it doesn’t move all the way to your body. I know it’s only fractions of a second but I think it’ll help speed up shooting some
What holster were you using for the xcompact?
Nice watch, never seen anyone with the same one as I have. Have you had any problems with the start/stop pusher? Mine broke for the second time. (Came for the comparison noticed the watch on the vid/website)
Thanks! I've had issues with it reseting back to zero and the winding mechanism is shot and it needs to go in for repair. I'm having to hand wind it currently. This watch started having issues literally a month after the warranty ended. I love the way it looks but I'm not happy with what happened.
That larger grip makes a huge difference!
Check out the new P365X. It has the same grip module and trigger of the P365XL but the slide/barrel length of the standard P365. It makes shooting much more enjoyable, recoil/snappiness easier to manage, and it's super concealable like the standard P365.
Nice comparison
Thanks!
