    Grabbed a 26.99 on my last lap of my first and only race last night. Down almost half a second from my pr. Hopefully can hit mid 26 with a warmer track and maybe some faster guys cutting wind for me 😂

    Fun track. Been to a few K1 and this might be the best track layout so far. Watching your faster laps let me see the flaws that might have kept me from getting into the 26’s.

    When I went, the karts were definitely slower then what you were running. Were those special karts or was that special event, or did I get screwed over when I went? (For context I was running about the same line as you were and was about 2 seconds off, and there's definitely a noticeable difference of your speed on the straightaways then what I had)

      @@benedictringer296 Your kart was probably not turned up to full power. I believe they call it “level 4.” It’s up to their discretion to turn people up all the way, they usually want to see people running a consistent quick time and not be reckless. Tbh they’re usually pretty awful about this though, I’ve seen a lot of experienced people get stuck on level 3 for no reason other than it’s a newer guy running the controls.

    27.6 was my best :/ my very first time ever doing carts tho. I’ve been sim racing for 6-7 months now but loved GT as a kid but GT7 is built different and better.

      Nice laps. Did you trail brake on certain turns to keep the motor speed up or do you back out of the throttle some?

    • @afromikeracing
      @afromikeracing  Год назад +1

      @@StevenCityChevy-Fusion In this video I didn’t brake at all, just lift. I’ve now learned that it is faster to brake. No trail braking deep though, maybe just a hair. Trying to brake in a straight line and then get on the power early

    The track pretty fun, my best time I had was a 26.102 but couldn’t ever break into the 25’s. Good driving 👍🏻

      That's a good lap though! The lap times are definitely slower if it's a dead night and a cold track.

    Is this your home track or were you just visiting? I've raced there before but it was Music City. If you're ever in Memphis let me know I race wat Autobahn and this video makes it look like trash lmao

      Home track. It recently got bought out by K1. The video doesn’t do it justice. It’s actually a great track, and it’s one of the better K1 experiences I’ve had.

      I visited this track about a month ago and I wasn't allowed to record my races. Did you have this issue as well? I was as told I had to purchase a camera from K1

    Hey can you please answer my question how much did you pay for this race and how many laps do you get???

    • @afromikeracing
      @afromikeracing  Год назад +2

      1 race is $26. It’s more affordable to buy 2 races at a time or go on Tuesday and get the buy 2 get 1 free deal. Their website has all info on pricing and specials.
      1 race is 12 laps.

    Did you never hit the brake?

    • @afromikeracing
      @afromikeracing  Год назад +1

      Correct. I think there’s 2 corners where it may be faster to hit the brakes though - T3, the right hander that snakes into an S curve, timestamp at 0:39, and the right turn hairpin at 1:01

    • @fifasims1996
      @fifasims1996 Год назад

      @@afromikeracing that is crazy, granted I'm not very experienced but going into T3, T6 (I think (right before the backstretch)), and going into the hairpin I find it 100% necessary to brake into those. Most of all T6 because I have slapped that outside wall so many times on exit

    That looks boring as hell. Only about 4 real turns...

    • @afromikeracing
      @afromikeracing  Год назад +3

      It feels better than it looks. The karts are actually quick and it makes a few of the fast turns challenging and fun. There’s also a LARGE bump at the apex of T1 (left turn)that adds another challenge. The front wheels basically go airborne over it each lap.

    • @evanwhite7226
      @evanwhite7226 Год назад +1

      Yeah just raced it for 24 laps, cider doesn't do justice. T1 is sooooo hairy. You catch alot of speed going from t3 to t4. Then the back stretch. Definitely worth it.
