I guess there is no point in hacking if it doesn’t get what you need like credentials or the knowledge that comes from interactions. The next question might be about time and mode, Are there online programs Masters that are online and can be completed in 6,8,10 or less than 12 months that gets you knowledge and credentials at lower cost?

LUO is pretty cheap on a per credit basis, but WGU is probably the quickest/easiest.

I don't know what to do. Was thinking about hacking an American degree for my career in Germany (I am German), but I don't feel like the bachelor's is going to be recognized here. It has only 120 credits while the Bachelors here have 180.
Also two credits from the USA are treated here like 1 ECTS credits. So basically I would show up to the interview with a third of a degree. If anybody has any input if it worked, let me know please.

Do German bachelor's degrees really take 12 years then? I've found that American degrees usually get the job done, but the best help you're going to get is going to be from the German company you want to work for? I'd call their Human Resources department and see what they accept.

Strange - ECTS credits generally translate at 2 ECTS for 1 US credits when evaluated from Europe to the US. For example, a 180-ECTS credit may translate as 90 US credits (30 classes) generally.
One possible suggestion is to look at the schools in Finland, since they have moved a ton of their degrees online and are quite flexible. As an EU citizen, you may even have access to free tuition. I've taken several of their classes via their Open Studies programs, though some of the offering would have a small cost for me as a non-EU citizen (American).

@@CollegeHacked Generally 3 year programs - 180 = 60 ECTS credits per year (~30 US credits is the equivalent, but evaluations vary).

Du hast da etwas falsch verstanden. 2 ECTS sind 1 US credit.

@@CollegeHacked American degrees are accepted and I don't think there are any equivalency issues. Plenty of German students do semesters or years abroad in the US and get their credits recognized. Not sure where the person got their information from. There is also a database called Anabin to see if the college or university is seen as equivalent to a German university. UMPI has the status h+ in Anabin which basically means it is seen as equivalent to a German university. Plenty of Americans do masters here or work here in other professional fields.

Some schools allow portfolio credit at the graduate level, Liberty University is a great example of this. That’s going to be the main way. You can also look into competency based programs and bust your booty to get done fast, which means less expense 😝

Which schools would this be for masters?
