thank you so much!!! after listening to the original version many dozens of times, i garnered my own feel of the song. and thus, i didn't use a metronome while singing. i did however, listen to the other tracks while singing (assuming it wasn't the first track in that section) :)!
Wow! This is outstanding! Very, very well done. My ONLY wish is that the voices weren't so processed. Especially the bass. To hear this clearly would only make this more magical. You've got such a clear tone. Let it ring! Great stuff and THANKS!
thank you so much for this comment and for your kind words!!! :D yea!!! i wish i didn't end up processing the bass so much. my mic has a hard time picking up the lower frequencies, and the best solution i could think of was to layer multiple of the same section of the audio (which did kind of make it louder but also morphed it into oblivion)
It wouldn't sound NEARLY this good without pitch correction. That's the difference between the Ringmasters and some guy on youtube. Still very impressive though that he can sing every part in a quartet.
@@maniacpwnageking The pitch correction isn't as apparent as you make it out to be. Of course the Ringmasters sound amazing but even without it he still would sound really good.
@@maniacpwnagekingHave you ever heard a Barbershop Quartet live, just 4 people singing in a room? Have you ever sung barbershop, and particularly baritone? Tone correction ruins the chords. Baritone is not supposed to be "in tune". The trick is to sing out of tune in exactly the right way to make the resultant notes come through. The notes get tuned to such a tiny fraction of a tone that the ear will not hear the difference, but the chord comes to life when it is done right.
@@michaeltutty1540 Yeah the best of the best may not be singing in equal temperament, they'll use their ears to get closer to the desired harmony for the key. This recording is auto tuned to hell in equal temperament.
In a capella close harmony auto tune is the enemy. The human voice can tune to a much finer tone than auto tune can think of, and the baritone in particular tunes the chords. Auto tune would sap the life out of the chords.
Congrats Jeichi, you were sublime! My only hope that you will raise the volume of the bass a bit. Other than that, you have quite a career in many areas ahead of you. DA
thank you so much for your kind words, this absolutely made my day!!! :) you're right i was frustrated with how quiet the bass was in the final product, but wasn't quite sure how to fix it.
@@jeikowb Honestly? I disagree. I think the bass sounds great, perfect balance for the harmony! Beautiful job with this. The mix is really great. Possibly if you want the bass to be more prominent, try some EQ adjustment on the bass part. Boost the higher frequencies that promote prominence. (between 1kHz and 5kHz.) that, or rerecord the part with more performance intensity. Either way, this recording is PHENOMENAL!! You're a great singer and I'm so glad you shared this with us. ❤🎉
After listening to Ringermasters perform this, I came here expecting to bail after a few seconds. I stayed till the end. Very interesting to hear it in studio with the homogeneity of the same voice on all parts. Plus the acoustics are entirely different. Lacks the emotion and interpretation of the Ringmasters, but excellently done.
thank you for this comment! :D i agree!!! i can only dream of matching the performance of the ringmasters, they've done an absolute beast of a performance if you're interested in listening to a studio version by the ringmasters, they've also revisited it last year! ruclips.net/video/llXbGZdULpQ/видео.html (although honestly i just don't think it's the same without martin huhu)
@@jeikowb Yes, I'm familiar with that studio performance by Ringmasters. It sounds somewhat muddled, too soft and rounded as if it was missing some of the higher end frequencies due to sound compression or something. It's just not on the same level as the stage performance. And I have to agree with you about Martin and his hair. Just not the same.
I'm so impressed. Singing all of those voices including the low D and the high notes in the other voices is very impressive. I sing B1 in my choirs and can't hit the low D very often. And the other 3 voices are pretty high for me. I can sing every section individually as the baritone but in sequence it's just too tiring and I have to switch into falsetto which makes it sound bad. It's just crazy how I consider myself a pretty good singer yet I can't sing a single voice and you can sing all four! And I don't even care that your bass sounds shallow and not that resonant because it's crazy enough that you can hit all those notes at all. One thing I want to point out is your pronunciation of the r in Notre. The r in French is actually not rolled as you did in the video, see en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voiced_uvular_fricative for more info on that.
thank you so much for your kind words!!! i actually struggle with my vocal range since it is very incosistent; there are some days where i can't enter the falsetto range, and same with the lower end, so reading this comment has absolutely made my day! as for the french pronounciation of "r," i am aware of it, but i never realized/noticed it in the song hahaha! now that you mention it i'm not so sure why i rolled the R so harshly 😅
I wonder how u record this masterpiece, did u listen a metronome with ur headphones. Great execution of cover btw 🎉

OKAY HE KILLED IT 💥💥💥
WOW!! THAT WAS REALLY COOL!! YOU DID AMAZING!
You’re timing with the words is so consistent, some parts sound like they’re done on a vocoder 🤯
Your upper register is amazing, especially on the Kyries and the "Out There" part on the medley.
that is such a huge compliment! thank you so much!! :D

OMG ! You are amazing. Great voice, great control, great delivery, and amazing range! Never stop singing, Jeichi! You are wise not to overuse autotune
