As a big fan of the nicktoons games, unite being my first ever game I appreciate you bringing the cancelled snapshot game to my attention i never knew about it lol But it looks interesting
Fun fact: Kingdom Hearts was actually inspired by Super Mario 64, and the reason they went with Disney was they wanted characters whose legacy and popularity could rival that of the Italian plumber, so you can once again thank The BIg N for that.
Great Video. This is a game that i always thought could of been really fun, but it's kinda just their. i like the references the game has, but it's just not much too it. But yeah great video as always and i'm looking forward too seeing your thoughts on the other nicktoons games. Also on a side note, their was sort of a sequel too the story of this game. Their was this really obscure Nicktoons game on leap frog called android invasion, where it also involved zim trying too take over earth using robotic dopplegangers of other nicktoons characters similar too this game.
“Stu, it’s 4 o clock in the morning. Why on Earth are you on RUclips this early?” “Because Brandon Mallow just uploaded a new Nickelodeon video game review.” In all seriousness, though, I really enjoyed this review. Like I’ve stated in a previous comment I made on one of your videos, NickToons Freeze Frame Frenzy was a childhood favorite game of mine. I never heard of Gekibo: Gekisha Boy before watching this video, so I always thought the game’s picture capture mechanic was a completely original game. I had lots of fun with the game as a kid, though I remember it being a bit harder than you made it out to be. It felt like the later levels moved at a faster piece than the earlier ones, thus making it difficult to get all the required pictures to beat the latter missions. I haven’t touched the game since May 2018, though, so take what I just said with a grain of salt. It makes sense why I would have a lot of fun with such a simple game: it seems as if Freeze Frame Frenzy tailor-made for young audiences, even moreso than most other Nickelodeon games. I actually really dig the soundtrack, especially that menu music, which was my jam back in the day. Having watched this video after checking out your reviews of The Hey Arnold! Movie Game and Enter the Cleft, I noticed that the sprites of Arnold and Timmy were recycled from their respective solo GBA entries. Not that I’m complaining, though, because those sprites were already really good to begin with IMO. Oh, and you forgot to mention that the game has one of the most hilariously egregious continuity errors: if you fight the Helga boss as Arnold, ole football head’s response to meeting it for the first time is “Oh no, even the robot Helga has a crush on me!” Yeah, you heard that right. Not only is this line EXTREMELY out-of-character for a kindhearted kid like Arnold, but he didn’t even know Helga had a crush on him until The Jungle Movie, which came out a good 13 years AFTER this game. Even then, Craig Bartlett has stated that Arnold would always be understanding of Helga’s feelings for him if he found out about them earlier. Seems like the developers didn’t pay as much attention to Hey Arnold! as the other Nickelodeon shows represented here.
CatDog is in the same boat as As Told By Ginger kind of. The show had been well and truly dead since like the end of 2000, but it took Nick 5 years to air all of the remaining episodes.
@@CartoonReview Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Hey Arnold in the same boat when this game came out, as Nick took nearly half a decade to air the remaining episodes from Season 5.
Any plans of a review of Nicktoons Movin' for Ps2 Eyetoy? This gba, the eyetoy one and Unite for Nintendo Ds are my 3 favourites of the Nicktoons series.
Another viewer just alerted me to the fact that EyeToy games can be emulated now. Going to check out Movin' and if I can get it working well enough I'm definitely going to review it!
9:38 Hey I don’t know if your checking comments anymore for this video but the reason why you couldn’t erase certain out of place characters is because of the world your in, The Klasky Csupo characters according to the game are all part of the same universe, meaning for example you can’t get rid of chuckie or kimi in the rocket power world because they are both from Klasky csupo shows, I don’t blame you for not figuring that out tho because for some reason Danny phantom and FOP characters are considered different universes.
honestly i would have loved a nicktoons game in a similar style to simpsons hit and run, where you explore each world and discover new things by yourself while you get distracted by the open world nature of the game. also, it seems weird that you didnt review nicktoons movin', tho its understandable beacuse that required the ps2 eyetoy to be used, and honestly tbh i dont think emulating the eyetoy is possible tho i think you can beacuse pcsx2 released an update, tho i doubt you will read this anyway
Just wanna leave this hear so, I don't forget to later. Don't forget to mention the fact that enemies will let out a Homer Simpson "Woohoo" sometimes in the GBA version for the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Game. XD
Literally never said they invented "grassy open world RPGs". There is a whole subgenre of open world games now that use BOTW's design as a starting point. Just look at things like Immortals Fenyx Rising or Tchia.

I used to love this game, beat it but never found out I could now play as Zim and this has depressed me for years
2022, and Cartoon Review is back with a vengeance.

Maaate, I'd _love_ a doco on the cancelled version of Snap Shot if you ever get around to doing that up.
I just realized this is the third Nick game in a row to have an Obligatory Shoot 'Em Up Section™.

I got this game as a kid because it had Invader Zim in it and that was all I cared about at the time.
This is my favorite game I 100% completed it and it made me a Zim fan
This was my first GBA game the nostalgia is too real
Alright one of my favorite GBA games and Nickelodeon games
Oh heck yeah this was a classic and d even get me started on the soundtrack that rocket power tune still gives goosebumps

I think it would be interesting to see Nickelodeon try this idea again unless they go the Nick All Star Brawl route and give it a small budget.
Oh my god, I remember this game!!
Glad to have you back Brandon
My favorite Nickelodeon game of all time
This is a totally underrated GBA title that more people need to play
I'm surprised CatDog doesn't make an appearance at all throughout the game either, considering the show wouldn't be canned until the following year.
