    Hi. Recently put on a new performance variation and now there is a strange noise? I’m not sure if I’m paranoid and the sound has always been there because I did open it up and everything looked normal. I’m thinking of putting the original back in to see if the sound disappears. The scooter is an sr50

    Hi Brad! Great episode and nice build. I myself have a Gilera Runner SP50 LC 2006 spec with a 47mm bore kit(china one) , standard 17.5 Dellorto carb+airbox , Malossi Wild Lion exhaust and onboard oil mixer . I have 3 questions: 1. These chinese big bore kits - what lifetime should be expected from them? 2. What power gain is expected from a big bore kit with derestriction and Wild lion exhaust? Is it close to a chinese Gy6 125cc engine AC ? 3. What should be the best jet setup for my case( I run with 34 pilot and 68 main)? The only measurements I can make is the noticeable difference on take off and max speed.I can see that from stock 49cc vs 68cc acceleration is much more aggressive and I manage to reach 95kph on the clock when I run out of road. I run standard transmission with 6.5 gram rollers. Great work!

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  3 месяца назад

      Chinese kits can vary, they can make brilliant products and also capable of low quality products made for a budget. Minimum should be 6k. 30%+ increases. GY6 is 4stroke. Whith a LC engine load up as it will accept the higher class performance parts. Thanks for comments and views👌

    What jets you have in this carb? Ive got polini sport 70cc with dell phva 17.5 80 main 38 idle jets, s6 pro replica, polini hispeed and malossi delta clutch. The only issue im having right now is thst when i relese and go again full throttle again it sounds like its got no fuel, and it takes a second before it gets back to gaining speed. I have brand new 21mm dell phbg but it has 60 idle jet and the cylinder gets flooded with fuel, had to take exhaust off cause it was full of fuel after kicking it for too long

    Hi! I have noticed with my 2016 zip 2stroke (everything stock) that when i have my gas 3/4 it runs well but when i give it full gas it feels like a restriction? I have just changed the air filter

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  3 месяца назад

      Did it do this prior to change of the air filter?
      When we see this it usually means too much air over balancing the fuel mix. Lean.
      If it splutters then too restricted on the air filter. Rich.

    • @scooterstreetau

      We have TGB in Australia and they 101s is a fun scooter and the large off road tyres allow beach and dirt exploring. Limited performance parts make it a less option for big tuning potential. Get a gear up mit in there and lighter roller and a Polini adjustable clutch straight away.

    Hey, my typhoon done blew up, interesting thing is it had alot of buildup (unusual amount and shapes,almost like icicles) on the cylinder head and the piston is like grinded at the edges (like a white circle along the top edge of the piston), my question is what could have made it blow up, and cause such damage, one thing i need to add it had a tiny bit of crankshaft play for a while now, could it have played a role in it blowing up?

    • @scooterstreetau
      @scooterstreetau  3 месяца назад

      Could have possibly been part of the bearing cage from one of the main or small bearing. Many reasons engine blow up and a build up and too much heat is a major contributor.

      @@scooterstreetau thanks for the info, i have 2 more questions regarding a zip,i replaced the bearings with skf one side closed (the plastic thing like polini evolution does) and i melted it a tiny bit when heating up the bearing for crank install, so do you reckon its fine if its just a little bit melted around the edges? Second question, i put my crank in the freezer for prep to install it, ended up not installing it because of the melted bearing, do you reckon its fine and won't rust entirely now? I cleaned it up best i could with some paper towels.
