- Your favorite American Eurovision Song Contest fan Alesia Michelle is sharing her reaction to all of the 39 songs. The Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will take place in Rotterdam. The Dutch city was due to host the Contest in 2020 before the event was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The Semi-Finals will take place on 18 and 20 May 2021. The Grand Final takes place on 22 May 2021.

I don't remember another year of Eurovision where my personal favorites were so all over the place. Malta, Italy, Ukraine, and Romania are the ones I listen to over and over again. How on Earth did those four songs float to the top for me? They couldn't be much more different. But I agree 100%--the quality this year is deep. Very, very deep.

I am so overjoyed by how strong this year is. Truly so exciting. But at the same time terrifying? Like in a meh year (like 2017) all of the songs I like can get realistically top 10, this year tons of songs I love will finish right side or not even qualify (the quality this year is still worth the pain of course though!)

So proud of my country this year 🇬🇧, Embers is on where I work all the time and all my work friends (who are non Eurovision fans) love it as well.
Also I’m so glad we agree on Serbia 🇷🇸, I feel like it’s not getting as much hype as it deserves, the key change is so amazing! Benny Cristo 🇨🇿 as well, Loved his song last year and I do again this year, he’s a great, fun, charismatic artist. San Marino 🇸🇲 is just perfect, as is Italy 🇮🇹, Poland 🇵🇱 and Romania 🇷🇴, literally so many amazing songs. Switzerland🇨🇭fully deserves the win this year in my opinion, such an amazing song and singer.
However, I will have my stance in terms of Slovenia 🇸🇮 lol, I know how it comes across to most people but I just love it. If anyone reads this, then thanks for putting up with my rambling 😂 Thanks Alesia for another great video, you have such positive vibes and I’m always smiling to your reactions (even if you don’t like Slovenia 🇸🇮 but hey that’s what’s so great about opinions). This has to be the strongest year in terms of songs ever since I started following the contest in 2015, so glad we're coming back strong from last year's cancellation. There are barely any skips.
I absolutely looove most of this years songs! Personally i gravitate more towards the fun-pop-good-time songsthen to the heavier ballads. But so pleased to see a lot of variety. Thnk u Alesia for another great video ♥

This is such a good year. There are like 22 songs where if they won I would be happy with them winning. I’ve never liked this many songs in a contest this much ever.

Honestly tho I love so much song, I will feel bad some songs won't be on the final 😭 And 2 of those songs are probably Norway and Denmark, I honestly love both of them and listening to them a lot. I would be very surprised and happy if they go through, doubtful, seeing how the reaction to the entries on the internet already.
But I hope Romania, Finland or Malta going to win 🙏 Also love France and Azerbaijan, I wouldn't be surprised if they win too 😂

I agree this is such a strong year! I think cause of last year being cancelled and the pandemic that people are going to want a party this year so i think a lot of the upbeat songs will do very well. On the flip side I think songs like Slovenia, N Macedonia, Spain, Estonia, Georgia and Portugal will get lost. I'm so excited for this year though, I think if 10 quality songs qualify from each semi it could be an amazing final! So so excited
