I am re-entering the HR field after a 20-year break and this video helped me prepare for my first interview. Thank you, Timeka, for the work you are doing! Excellent information!
This question had me looking like a deer in headlights during an interview. Lost out on a great opportunity because of it. Thank you for this video 💜💜💜
Really great content!! So helpful. I actually did go for a job interview recently (was in a different field) and they asked this question and said tell me about yourself but don’t talk about anything work related.. I was SO thrown off. It was such a challenge to talk about myself but not in a professional manner. I talked about my education and where I was from and why I relocated and he stopped me and said no work! And I said you didn’t say anything about education? It was the most akward interview ever!!
HR Pros should not ask this question in the first place. As a former CEO of a large company in the MIddle East and Africa we banned that question completely. HR recruiters, still asking this outdated question define themselves in a certain way.
@@HeyyyHR I was also wondering if you could do a video on exempt vs non exempt… I just accepted a roll in employee relations and it is exempt…thank you so much in advance!

I would’ve pulled out of thar process bc it should’ve been work related. Everything gets pretty tricky with your EEO rights
This was good and informative. I've often wondered exactly how to answer that question.
