Hi Dundee Driver,Thanks for your comments. The cardboard isn't even a box, its just a piece to hide the contents of my workbench.I'll see if I can make something better for future use.Steve.
@@steveatbax Yeah, the rough cardboard doesn't do any justice to your models. Thanks for the inspiration, by the way - I bought a load of fibre-optic fibres after seeing your channel!
A GF Controller is a device for controlling two servo motors to operate two semaphore railway signals. see: www.gfcontrols.co.uk/ and: www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/59687-semaphore-signals-4mm-scale-mainly/ Hope this helps. Steve.
Nothing to do with this video, but are the chap who built the signal for Howard and myself some years back for N Gauge exhibition layout Armathwaite? If so how can I contact you? Cheers, Bob
Hi Bob,Yes, that's me.Find me on RMweb and send me a Personal Message is probably the easiest.I'm on there under my own name.Alternatively, Howard should have all my address details. If you're not successful, come back on here and I'll think of something else a little less Public.regards,Steve Hewitt.
Hello Crew Cab King,The short answer I think is "NO".All my signals are driven by SERVO MOTORS.These are not like simple electric motors, and always need a special controller to make them work properly.I always use GF Controllers on these models, but others are available, such as the Servo4 kit from the MERG group, and the Megapoints controller. Each of these controllers will need an On/Off switch to tell it when to move the signal.Hope this explains it sufficiently for you.Steve.
Exceptional working models, you are very talented.
I like the simulation of the signal dropping down. Very convincing.
Thanks,
The movement is all achieved by the GF Controller.
Steve
Brilliant ! .... some amazing pieces .... thank you for sharing your skills & fantastic signals Steve .....

Spectacular modelling. 👍

Steve.
What two thumbs down …. Amazing modelling 👌🤐
Thanks very much. 🙂
excellent work, thanks for sharing.
Beautiful models! But I think you should spend an evening making a light-box for filming/photographing these instead of that cardboard box :D

Thank you Steve. I'll try RMWeb. Cheers, Bob/
Can you operate it with an on on switch or does it have to be a computer?
