In his younger days he had done construction work in signals and route relay interlocking in MG in Western Railways. As a youngster I had seen that our house used to be full of British books and manuals on signalling and interlocking. Your videos brought back many memories..... IR has improved by leaps and bounds in terms of technology, capacity (passenger and goods) and services. In terms of capacity it has grown by more than 100 X from the fifties.
See those protruding lights on the home signal towards left? Those if on, indicate train will be diverted to another line, if off, then the train will continue on the same track

1.Distant -double yellow, Gate-Double yellow then Home-Single yellow +main line 2.Distant -Double yellow, Inner distant -Double yellow then Home-single yellow +loop line Why it is so different? Why The 1st one goes to main line and the 2nd one is going to loop line? Why both case are not going to main line via loop line?Pls explain.

@@jiolife8238 In 1st case the Routing signal is NOT provided. So the train moves on Main line. In 2 nd case, the Routing signal is provided. So that the train moves on loop line .
