Absolutely beautiful interpretation! The usage of legato and pedaling is so on point towards the main motivation of the original piece that it just blends so perfectly, capturing the beautiful side of Ravel's brilliant compositional style! Bravó!

I like this rendition relative to other interpretations because it is simply so beautifully phrased. There’s always a direction and a flow in his music, while others achieve very little of the musicality but more so the technical aspects of Ravel’s challenging piece. Well played!

This is not an interpretation, but the essence of the Waltz. You are not just a great pianist, you are a great musician, because you know all the secrets of the musical discourse's articulation and the direction of the phrases, moreover, you have the domain on agogic and on every sound quality. Truly exceptional!

I listened to 4 interpretations from 4 famous pianists. All very impressive, but non had the clarity and expression that you show with this extraordinary valse. @@Vincent-ig2cb At what price? So you are saying his playing wouldn't be as good if he didn't contort his body like a circus performer? There are greater pianists who keep their backs completely straight - Hamelin, for example. Also, go watch Jorge Luis Prats in this piece. What a wonderful relaxed style he has. He barely moves, yet produces the most thunderous fortissimos, and his hands seem to glide on the keyboard. I can watch his playing for hours - not so with Giltburg, who has a style almost painful to watch. And Prats gives a superior account of this work.

Not really sad; more like schizophrenic. The waltz starts slow and tonal, then slowly goes into an atonal mess [not in a bad way], up to that insane finish after “Mouvt de debut”. It’s like the waltz starts off Romantic, then slowly descends into chaos.

This man has a technical skill that is awesome. I found that the performance was frenetic but skillfully played. I feel, after playing it myself and studying with professionals, the flow of the music was lacking especially the loud and soft contrasts which left me with a certain unease about the waltz. He is to be commended in that he can render this difficult composition in an agreeable manner. I wish him only the best for his career.
