Then he resumed getting bigger until he slimmed down again before the 95-96 season. I thought this was his ideal size if he wanted to be a power player and be able to bang with centers while still being more agile than any other big. Unfortunately he eventually turned from bodybuilder into bloobular

I don’t remember him gaining much weight in the early 90’s but I didn’t get to see the Sonics much back then. I thought by the 96, he wasn’t showing the crazy explosiveness as much. The dunks weren’t those swinging off the rim types anymore. His game was more polished though.

Kemp is an athletic stretch 4 that can bring up the ball and bang inside. He matches up very well against Shaq.
Players with a strong low base were known to give Shaq the most problems in general.

My favorite player as a kid. But agreed after his second year in Cleveland, he gained too much weight imho.
