I am Muslim but I will be honest. I’ve watched many videos of people in speakers corners. Such a great chance to learn more stuff about the religion. However, I must say, the brothers who defend our religion, do seem to never let the person they’re debating with speak or let them finish what they’re saying. Also, quite often just repeating themselves whilst shouting. I think such knowledgeable people should be able to debate in a much better manner
Speakers corner as a whole is a total mess, everyone there interrupts each other, nobody there learns or teaches they just try to debate and score points, the Muslim dawah men there and even the Christian preachers whenever someone approaches them they immediately start practicing their tactics to shut them down, Speakers corner is rarely a place to learn anything brother, There is a Dawah guy called Muhammad Ali (Muslim lantern) he used to go to speakers corner a lot, but then he stopped and started doing Dawah somewhere else, when he was asked why, he said that there's no genuine conversation in Speakers corner, unlikely them Muhammad Ali actually cares, he always keeps things civil and doesn't care about scoring points, no interruptions, no "Gotcha" moments, he's young but mashallah he's more mature than any of these men, i recommend you watch him if you want to learn, Wallahi i think he has the best Dawah channel, high quality, no emotional arguments, everything he says he shows the evidence on screen especially when he's answering non Muslims online, his energy us very positive even the ones who come to discuss with him they rarely get heated, just pure learning i hope you check out his channel, there's also Sheikh Uthman from one message foundations but that's not really as good as Muhammad Ali since there's also a lot of shouting there and emotional moments, but again, speakers corners, it's not a place for genuine learning.

Speakers corner as a whole is a total mess, everyone there interrupts each other, nobody there learns or teaches they just try to debate and score points, the Muslim dawah men there and even the Christian preachers whenever someone approaches them they immediately start practicing their tactics to shut them down, Speakers corner is rarely a place to learn anything brother, There is a Dawah guy called Muhammad Ali (Muslim lantern) he used to go to speakers corner a lot, but then he stopped and started doing Dawah somewhere else, when he was asked why, he said that there's no genuine conversation in Speakers corner, unlikely them Muhammad Ali actually cares, he always keeps things civil and doesn't care about scoring points, no interruptions, no "Gotcha" moments, he's young but mashallah he's more mature than any of these men, i recommend you watch him if you want to learn, Wallahi i think he has the best Dawah channel, high quality, no emotional arguments, everything he says he shows the evidence on screen especially when he's answering non Muslims online, his energy us very positive even the ones who come to discuss with him they rarely get heated, just pure learning i hope you check out his channel, there's also Sheikh Uthman from one message foundations but that's not really as good as Muhammad Ali since there's also a lot of shouting there and emotional moments, but again, speakers corners, it's not a place for genuine learning.

This is not the way to give dawah, shaming the brother and saying stop smoking and embrassing him in front of a crowd is not the way. Perhaps if he was to tell him " To you is your religion and to me is my religion and walked away would have been a better way of dealing with this matter. Allah knows best.
