The 120mm gun of the EMBT is just for the tests. The final gun is a 140mm ASCALON gun with telescoped ammo. Probably from far the more powerful MBT gun on the market. Some other gears to come and already shown by nexter : hardkill, IR and optical active stealth
its a shame that we allowed to let french design the gun so that they at least would be able to claim that they contributed anything to this project. never heard of "combined arms" doctrine, that's the reason Russian tanks are mostly dominated in ukraine in a perfect world if you don't have somewhat control of the air you dont send close air support if you don't send them no helicopters no infantry no infantry no tanks. that's for rolling gaskets, as for "all those weapons" most are made in few numbers, a couples demo units to enter procurement contest, for those who are in numbers they are not that many and if you send a the new kits to ukraine who pay for it? and what is left to defend your country with?
Because we do not want this war to last genius. US profits massively from this war since it allows it to supplant Russia as Europe Gas supplier and drain its biggest military competitor of its weapons for a fraction of the cost, but we do not.

Of the 406 Leclerc tanks delivered to France, as of 1 July 2018, there were 225 functional tanks, + 18 "DLC" towing tanks.
On the TV sets these last months, we would now be on 216 functional tanks. The remaining nearly 200 are in long-term storage, most being cannibalized, serving as spare parts for tanks in operation since manufacturing is stopped.
By 2025, 122 of the current 216 deployable tanks will be upgraded to the XLR standard.
I don’t know where that 150 tank information came from, but it seems incorrect.
Leclerc is overrated....it doesn't have much combat experience...if any at all..
@@dominique4700 Yemen war? That was pretty low intensity conflict against low tech enemy.....nothing serious. German Leopard tanks will be used in high intensity modern war against modern enemy...not some rebels... Don't even try to compare the two...

Leopard did went up against rebels....was used by Turkish military in a armed conflict. This will be first time Western tank will participate in modern warfare...in Ukraine....Leopards will.

@@flo__60 A tank gains experience in the sense that defects are found and corrected or that it is improved as a result of combat experiences.

@@HayotsRoman there is no existing turret of a single tank in europe which is french. not even the tanks of france are french, they are german, as every other tanks turret in the hole western world. just wait which kind of turret the (hopefully never realized mmbt will have). And to built a turret is the easiest think in the world. Rheinmetall invented a new turret for its panther kf 51 in 2 years, while after the egoistic french people poisened kmw there wasnt any progress in years and years. basic technologies xd muh ha ha, name one.
