I notice rates from last week were practically cut in half on some regular lanes that are practically unprofitable. These low-rate loads are flying off the load board. I think corporations want to keep their numbers up and as long as they have owner operators and small companies willing to keep taking those loads nothing will change. We are expendable and there will always be a new trucker to take advantage of when the other goes out of business.
Haha. When a contract carrier rejects a load, that load ends up on the spot market therefore resulting in more spot market volume- tender is the same thing is load confirmation
That Capacity says it all. The internet and social media creates too many followers. That’s why the music we listen to today sucks and people are afraid to sport a turtleneck. Have a good Tuesday Miranda❤️👍
please show the sources of where you get your info for these graphs. it is also common in the trucking industry for companies and industries to misrepresent information so someone like you might rely on it and make these graphs and then the whole general population is mislead. they do this maybe to suit their own interests or even in some cases do white collar crimes like trade based money laundering etc. even a website like freight waves may post unintentional false information due to things like the ltl companies just outright mislead etc. so even if the source is a genuine source, the sources THEY get their info from may be shady. i've worked inside of ltl and seen how corrupt it is im just giving a heads up.

Guys, it is time to claim the hell out of TQL on any of your unpaid invoice starting Jan 16, 2024 using the new FMCSA law. Bring TQL to their knees immediately!
I've decided to trade in my glider for a mule and wooden cart. I can now pocket those fuel surcharges. More of a hot-shot type operation but maintenance is much cheaper. And rates are better in the mule and cart market. 🐎
11/18… Ive been seeing load @ $.80-$1.23 right now.. I made my way back to Texas to park my truck for a few days to let this whatever this is go through this trashy flow back to a smooth flow
I have been watching this channel for a while now and always bite my tongue on your data analysis, which is not very good. But it needs to be stated correctly what you are presenting. There needs to be a disclaimer with data you are presenting. Why were rates great in 21 and 22 with many more carriers than 18... Volume. Back to your data analysis. You cannot make the assumption that supply of trucks on the road is 1 for 1 with carrier authorities. Just think of yellow. One authority yet thousands of drivers.
Welcome to Joe's/ Obama's world. This recession is the repeat of 2008. They're already talking about a housing market crash that's gonna make 2008 housing market crash look like a baby. Yes, this does affect trucking if you remember what happened back in 2008. Everything overpriced and less loads.
@nilaht9 I live through it ,so I know what I'm talking about. I don't need to educate myself. The housing crash is predicted in the year 2025 they say it's going to be bigger than 2008. If you hadn't realized, prices are out of control like it was back in 2008. I also remember sitting at home doing without paychecks and waiting on loads back in 2008 like i'm doing now. Yes, it's a repeat, just a different person in Washington DC with the same insane regulations and hair brain ideals to destroy this country. I forgot to mention that the company that I worked for in 2008 went out of business because of the recession, just like trucking companies are shutting down now.
@@thegame4209Recession happened under Bush. Some of you have selective memory and post crazy nonsense. A lot of my friends loss their jobs because of Bush. Companies couldn’t afford to keep them on. @nilaht9 If you want to get that technical, Bill Clinton handed off a bad economy to George Bush with bad regulations he signed into law before he left office. Do I think Bush was the best? Absolutely not. Obama made things worse. We never recovered for the eight years he was in office because of his bad regulations that he pushed through. Biden is doing the exact same thing that Obama did with regulations. That's why things are getting worse..

I don't know why you go to the trouble of breaking down the price of diesel, as far as showing the amount of tax. Operators/drivers are still going to have to pay the full amount, and it doesn't make it feel any better in the pocketbook just because we know how much of it is in tax. It would actually piss off some people who feel govt. is taxing us too much to begin with.
Is that total trucking authorities including brokers as well? The FMCSA issues & reports authorities combined for HG, P, HZ, B, C, etc. Is freightwaves separating that data out or taking the whole number? If they're taking the whole # and not separating it out, then this includes brokers who entered the market as well.
Forget this. Am looking for a rich girlfriend who wants a man to take care of. I will need a very generous maintenance allowance. Don’t cook or clean but I can sit around on the couch waiting for her to come home from work to make dinner. Until the market gets to somewhere normal. PS. Don’t take care of kids either. 😂😂😂😂
You have free will. It's not her fault she's said it's not a good time to buy many times. Especially in this market. You should have done much more research instead of blaming others. Just saying.
That makes no sense. Nobody forced you. You are grown up and you have to do reaearch no matter what someone says. And why sell house to buy truck. If your bought new truck then it also your fault. Stop blaming everyone else for your moves

The trucking industry is supercharged since Covid. Carriers have big payments and are not giving up until the wheels fall off.
thank you for all your hard work
The amount of carriers 😮
I know, shocked me too when I looked at it over the past 5 years
Georgia extended the IFTA tax suspension through Nov 29th

Stop with this “market “ BS . We , the truckers are dictating the market . Cheap haulers are the ones dictating the market .

Yes, absolutely correct. This data will not give us exact numbers, but it does give us an idea of what is going on.
Fuel needs to come down a lot more than what it's doing
Thanks Miranda, I've learned so much with your videos ❤

Hello, great channel, much appreciated. Can please define rejection?
Thanks! Rejection is when a contract carrier says no to a load, and it ends up on the spot market, therefore increasing spot market volumes.
Great video!
Good day Ms Miranda 🎉

When a contract carrier rejects a load, that load ends up on the spot market therefore resulting in more spot market volume
Thank you for the information lady,.. I want to buy my own truck. Perhaps right now is a good time to save for one rather than buying one.
Can you do the math on what the volume percentage is now compared to volume??
