I watch several RUclips videos on how to trade in the stock market but haven't made any head start because they are either talking some gibberish or sharing their story of how they made it and I do not want to make mistakes by taking risks in my own hands

As someone who trade both the forex and the stock market, I can say that the stock market is easier to get a profit.

@@jasonmark6639 When I made that comment, I was a brand new forex trader. So obviously I'm not used to the forex market at that time and I had difficulty making a single profit. Two months later, I got my aha moment. This is what I can say, earning from forex trading is easier at the higher time frames.

@@phproud3541 I studied on my own. Since I am a long time stocks trader before becoming a forex trader, I already have a good knowledge of technical analysis. It is just a matter of tweaking my strategy to fit in the forex market.
If you are new to trading, I suggest to try the stock market first. It doesn't move as much as the forex market.
@@wavemaker2077 actually i'd recommend forex first - easier with small initial capital, more time of day to experiment and try things out, far easier to do tiny positions. stocks are easier IF you're able to learn about the company whose stock you're buying/selling, or if you are in a registered retirement / IRA / similar account, where you can NOT trade leveraged (which forex inherently is).

In my experience day trading/ swing trading the forex market is incredibly difficult and much much more volatile while the Stockmarket is a lot easier and a lot more relaxed.

Long-term* forex positions may be regarded as a form of “normal investment”, IMHO. Surely, short-term forex market movements are little more than noise.

Thats because the forex market is heavily manipulated. The most popular indicators such as the rsi and stochastics dont even work on forex because there no such thing as an overbought/oversold currency pair. Only in stocks

Most of it subjective. You can daytrade stocks, don’t have to follow them all - pick few, can trade options to reduce amount of capital required. Could trade futures as well on globex around the clock. Many people give advice on YT without covering enough details.

What is the difference between Forex and equity trading?
As a new forex trader, Is it advisable to take a small amount of money like $1,000 and try to turbo-grow it to $10k with high leverage? I like the idea of taking a little risk at first, but I also don't want to develop undisciplined habits.
As a new trader, if you don't know how to predict if it will go up or down with candlestick patterns and other indicators, you can lose borrowed money and have to owe more money than you have, people have committed suicide because of owing money that can never return. Only borrow money once your skills are perfect
for me the main reasons that i moved to forex , pdt rule, slippage, I mean the worst feeling ever that when you following risk mangement and price come to your stop loss and didn't take it and you keep loosing money untill you decied to hit the market order so that runie your rules what ever you do.

In stock market you have 1to1 leverage but in Forex 1to100 in general.. That is why in forex you are going to lose much faster. My advice: Don't go to 1 to 100 start with 1:10... you will be exposed to little losses and get little earning but will never try to suicide 😃

Stock market scales better... once you get into billions liquidity becomes an issue, but for most of us retail FX traders we don't have liquidity issues 😁 as long as you are successful, it doesnt matter what market you are in and make your paper!!

I been on and off trading since I was 19 I’m 21 now and what I’ve learned is that if you have $25,000 then I’d say stock market is better but if you do not then forex.
Stock market seems to be easier but if you don’t have at least $25k in your account then you can only make 3 day trades a week. While forex; you can have $100 and make as many trades per day as you’d like, plus the market is open 24 hours a day.
So in my opinion, the forked market is a better way to make money and learn.

Actually that's only half truth. You can make as many day trades as you want trading stocks as long as you are not trading on a margin account. But even with a margin account there are ways around the PDT rule such as holding 3 trades over night every day or by simply using multiple brokers. However with that out of the way, I agree that more money can be made faster in Forex.

Actually depends on where you live. Here in the UK, we get leverage for stocks. It's actually CFD trading, which is banned in the US, but the volatility is still the same as to owning the underlying stocks.

Well that's absolutely false that you would pay more in cost of trade in the stock market, because first of all, there is no such thing as a spread in the stock market. They only fee you pay is a fixed commission of around 4.99$ to 9.99$ per trade depending on every broker, which in the long run, saves you a lot of money compared to the spread which is applied on every dollar invested in forex.
there most certainly IS a buy/sell spread on stocks, and on low-cap stocks you can eat up market depth quickly and end up paying a larger effective spread. on forex, the spread is small and the depth is huge, so unless you're doing a $2M or more position, you'll pay the small spread. commissions on top of each (stocks or forex). you WILL pay more on stocks whether you're doing small dollar trades or large ones. you could buy all of Apple's stocks on the EUR/USD without moving the market more than 50 pips.
Here in 2020, a lot of brokers have zero commissions on stock trades, so you just pay the spread, which is usually MUCH lower relative to the volatility for the most liquid stocks and ETFs compared to forex. E.g., you could easily pay a 1 cent spread to trade a 30 cent move on QQQ, while a similar move on EUR/USD would require a 1.3 pip spread for only 15 pips.
