Great strategy. Similar to something I trade with the 1 hour. My first trade with the strategy 24 pips and 49 pips
A little tip if you only want to look at one chart. Add the 96EMA and 252EMA to your 5 minute charts and you don't need to check the 1H chart. There are 12 5 min bars in a 1H bar. as a result, the 1H 8EMA is the same as a 96EMA on the 5 min chart (8*12=96). The 1H 21EMA is the same as a 252EMA on the 5 min chart (21*12=252).
So easy...even a caveman could do it LOL, thanks for the tip!

Thank you, i have been back testing this strategy. It is pretty good infact damn good i should say. Only suggestion is put a fractal and we need not count 5 bars back. After candle crosses fractal after trigger bar, and you are good to go. Same thing i think. Thanks so much. this 8 ma is awesome.

@@simonnattrass2171 lots of strategy on trading Fractals, it seems to be unreliable as it repaints and makes false signals. So you cant rely just on these fractals. But once you get a signal from your strategy, wait till first bar closes beyond previous fractal. Trade on 2nd bar crossing the high or low of the first bar. Stoploss a point or two before the previous fractal. Take profit is your choice. normally 1:1.5 or 1:2.

Great job, this strat is very easy to learn & it does work in the real world as well as I've been making some nice pips with it. Just be patient & wait for the right set up & enter, I've made 40 pips today using this strategy, yesterday & the day before been making consistent pips. You won't win them all obviously, but it's ideal for someone to get their teeth into trading. So thanks again Andrew your videos are really excellent all the time & are of great help thanks.

I find a bit confusing the risk set of the SL and TP.
What does it mean to set profit 1 times x risk, do you refer to 150 % ? If so how do you exit half of the trade and put another take profit, does this has to be done manually or you are referring to multiple stops and profit applications.

Hi Andrew, Your order pop up is completely different to the one on my MT5 platform which makes your execution much quicker, is that a custom pop up? my one does not have the pins and I have to input all ranges manually as opposed to just dragging in the way you do.
I'm also trying to figure this out lol.. it does take so much longer to find the number then type it in manually..

Andrew, thank you for showing it live. What I can't understand is why the 13 EMA on 5M chart? what is it for? You don't seem to use it at all. Could you shed some light on it?
Good question. I guess the three moving averages make it easier to visually assess the right condition, that is the "fanning out".

Hi Andrew! This strategy does work in differetn time frames? For example M1 chart with M15 anchor chart or H1 chart with H4 or D1 anchor chart?

Sorry for asking, just realize MT4 is very different then MT3 tester. You MT4 is the same as mine.

amazing strategy that actually works....i use a very similar one but instead of the ema's i found some free content on the web called ultra filter and ultra signal indicators but i use same exact concept and to dermine my stop loss and take profit i use the ATR indicator (SL @ Tp1) = 2.2x ATR this strategy is so good that you can enter with very big lots 0.1/0.2 without comprimising your balance because the SL will be so tight

Thanks for the live chart example. I just started doing this a couple of days ago, and was making things harder on my self with putting in the full amount buy/sell and then separate counterbalance trades for 50% each for the take profit 1 and 2. Seeing you do it with 2 50% trades from the get go was enlightening, and humbling (in a why the heck didn't I think of that sort of way) at the same time. I appreciate your videos!!

not in the strategy, keep it simple stupid
price wont be closing over the ema's on 1h if you on S/R, even on 5m you won't be seeing ema moving up or down. just keep it simple.
Very nice introduction to a simple scalping method, Andrew. As you mentioned the trader will be vulnerable here if their discipline or leverage is not in line with a mature traders psychological approach. I would think this system could have higher success rate with daily bias in play also. May be possible to look for higher RR in line with daily bias and less so against bias. I would suggest that new traders create a flow chart of this method and note times of day the method works better. i.e London open, New York Open etc as manipulation can occur early in these sessions. Fantastic place for new traders to begin.. great work..

My question is a bit late to the game, but here it goes.
Do you continue the trade if the price has closed above/below the 21ema in the situation after your buy/sell stop has been activated?
That means taking a loss, on the trade. You don't seem to deal with that situatie in your video.
Would love to know how you do it!

set and forget.i have backtested this strategy for several weeks.its really simple and have a good winloss ratio but you should strictly stick to its rules and trust in yourself.and ofcours loss is a part of the deal.good luck
@@alimiser I am glad there are people confirming it, but I am interested, what is your take profit? For my way of trading it's not really possible to exit half of the trade, so would you recommend some other type of take profit, or just make it 1 vs 1 ratio? Sometimes that would make for a really low take profit targets, given the spread it might not be feasable to even enter some trades. I don't know...

Great video as always! One Question: What if the trigger candle itself is the lowest of the 5 (well actually 6 if we also count the trigger candle), would you still use the lowest of the 5 candles before or the triggerbar itself as the buy/sell limit order origin?
Hi Andrew, why not use 252 EMA and 96 EMA on the 5 minute chart as the reference signal in place of the 21 EMA and 8 EMA from the 1 hour chart instead of having 2 charts side by side?
Because he also looks at the price action not only the indicator.

I coded this as a robot and it does work!, try adding the ADX so you don't get sideways movement +DI and -DI above 23 and main signal line above 30 and your good to go
