It's so sad to let your artistic perception change because of what you read in the news. Ethan's synthesizers are also the reason why everybody fucking loved this band, whether he's a rapist or not.

I just feel horrible for her watching this, especially now. It’s just disturbing really, that creep right there always behind her shoulder even when shes trying to perform for her fans and do her art. She recovered brilliantly though, and I love her solo album. EDIT: It’s true that while they are just allegations, you can tell when someone is lying about something as serious as this and I definitely feel like she was telling the truth. So yeah, I can’t prove she was telling the truth or lying, but I can choose to believe her which I do.

Then follow that with 10 years of assaulting her, hitting her, not allowing her to have a phone, locking her in rooms, forcing her to perform even when she had a terrible stomach flu that caused her to faint on stage, he would call her a clown and tell her that all of her fans were laughing at her before she would go on stage, and much more. All to feed into her self-destructive and angry on stage image/presence. Then discredited her contribution to CC after she left the band without even saying it was because of all the abuse and instead she said it was due to creative differences. He also accused her of leaving to get help for her craziness and drug addictions when he was who introduced her to/got her addicted to drugs and alcohol and fucked with her mental health, AAAAALLLLLLLLL for the image of the "band". And that's when she released her statement. Hope this helps those new to this to see how much of a monster Ethan Kath/Claudio really was/is. And there's still SO MUCH MORE DUDE ugh

I remember lighting off fireworks at the beach on the 4th of July. A crowd had spontaneously gathered, by which I mean a couple hundred people, and as stupid as it sounds they would all clap after we lit one off, and I remember being so suprised by how trilling an audience of people cheering for you was, for something as little as a Firefox being lit. Can you imagine what it must feel like for her?

Been checking these guys out lately. I typically don't get into newer bands, I'm a big 80s new wave/synth pop fan. I'm diggin the sound on a lot of their tracks (and absolutely love the one with Robert Smith), but the distorted vocals are a bit of an acquired taste. I'd like to hear how they sound with cleaner, more decipherable vocals.
