her performance here is just incredible, she makes such a connection with the crowd. she dances almost like a child, just totally unleashed. she really is incredible, she deserves to be in some kind of electronic music hall of fame. truly an inspirational person.
This is a PRIME example of a concert that you just can't record the audio correctly no matter what you do. You can't capture the audio and the reverberations and the whole atmosphere, its too much. Whoever went there, heard a completely different thing from what we are hearing, I guarantee you that.
I've never seen a concert have such a crazy arc from beginning to end. The way Alice walks out hitting the bottle of Jameson and then crawls to the mic with a cigarette in hand. It looks like she is coming from a very dark place. She then goes on to crazy heights of euphoria during the show. The way she walks off stage at the end, back to a dark place. One of the best performances I've ever seen. I wonder, and this is a terrible thought, If the music would of have been as good if everything was hunky dory in Crystal Castles. I gotta say as well I wish they would of released remixes with Christopher Chartrand (the live drummer), he makes the music hit way harder.

I was at this performance. Originally I was there for Nine Inch Nails, we had just got done seeing Ghost, and I never heard of Crystal Castles before. I checked out their set and became a fan. 1 year later they broke up. Then all the tales of abuse came out. Crystal Castles will always be my guilty pleasure, it's essentially the soundtrack to an abusive relationship. It creates a dark sad gritty but youthful nostalgic memories both good and bad.
