darth g0ldaR how? Clearly not a Cure fan. Am a huge CC and cure fan, but I think the Robert smith version is better. I think the song really benefits from the less processed vocals, and no one does emotion like Rob. Can understand not digging his voice, but it's not cringeworthy by any standards.
And the song is actually by Platinum Blonde, and their version is just fine. They were a stadium filing act in the day.
So sad to know Alice was not happy and free when she was in Crystal Castles, I really admire her for speaking up!

One of the most epic moments of CC, this live version is almost perfect. Her moves and gestures reveal her inner feelings of stress and sorrow. She sings as if she knows the end of this great band is coming.
Yet no one at the time had any intuition that she was unhappy lol. But now all the signs were apparently there now you know the story,? Hypocrite
There are times when -knowing the facts- we see past documents with a different eye view. Exactly because now we know her real story(or at least her part of the story) we are able to re consider facts and possibly come to different conclusions. As for your characterization, it's meaningless and worthless to me. To be a hypocrite , you have to act like if you do not know the truth, although you know it. So what's the meaning of what you said? Relax a bit and take things more easily.

This means that (most probably) the band was getting to the end and she, knowing this, was giving a great performance. I never said I knew before. Signs of pain/inner stress in Alice's actions were obvious not only to me, but to many people at these times. Although I don't really understand the point in your reaction, I still believe you should be more careful when characterizing somebody. You don;t know, so speak more carefully, 'cause words can become weapons.

@@cottonhatcat6401 this is actually Ethan covering a song of the same name from a band called Platinum Blonde, and like most of CC Alice never even got to sing this song, it's Ethan's voice and work that we hear on the album. So it's not a declaration of anything xd. This is a great performance nonetheless

ETHAN sang the recorded album version, and later Robert Smith recorded his version. the only versions that exist by Alice are live versions. surprise surprise, they are the worst versions. get off Alice's untalented nuts and realize whose music uou actually like you fuckin tool. i normally wouldn't be thia hostile, but youtube.
