Toledo Art Museum is one of the finest in the country! Glad to hear Mo giving it some love! And Toledo Zoo is actually one of the best around, as well.
I have loved this conversation. Mo always tickles me. I get the impression that there are many more stories where he and Candace can contribute. I hope to see more. BTW. MO. I have purchased your book. 😊
She's so beautiful. She looks so much better - and so much more youthful - without all the crap they put on her for films and TV (when they did the Murphy Brown reboot. She looks younger now!)
She and I were both born May 9, in different years. I was named after her. My mother knew her father, Edger. Wild yes? I always adored her, even without this background
I was so thrilled to come across this video. I'm a big fan of NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me and Boston Legal. I come from the home of Frank McCourt and am proud to say that I spent two days as an extra on the film as it was being made in my home town. I also had the opportunity of attending the Special Gala Showing in Limerick. Continue the good work both of you. All the best from Limerick Fergus
Mo just loved saying Mr. Pickles. Delightful conversation. Candice putting on her Murphy Brown hat. Surprised at how many people Candy never met! But Mo wouldn't give up!
Yes absolutely the Toledo Art Museum is fantastic - fully endowed and great collection - arguably better than many larger cities (looking at you, Louisville), and the NW Ohio region itself is an area where arts is well supported and quite accessible to everyone
I knew Snowman! I took riding lessons with Harry deLeyer on Long Island, a thousand years ago. More to the story than you give but Snowman was a great athlete.
Child of older parents and felt the separation from peers at a very young age. Recolonizing in HS that my closet connections were children and elderly. I’ve always remembered my Mother turning 40 and her seeming very happy. I asked what was great about it, already aware of social “over the hill” commentary. She said, “Because, I don’t care what anyone thinks of me anymore.” As friends turned 21, 25, 30 - I was excited to wait and turn 40.
Good interviewers are rare. It’s a specialized skill-an art, really-that very few possess. David Susskind was a great interviewer. Dick Cavett, in his earlier days, was excellent. Ira Glass is very good.
I think he is very interesting. It seems that many people have lost the ability to enjoy and appreciate good storytelling. Maybe a quick TikTok video is the only thing that can capture the attention of some people.
I was so not surprised when Ms. Bergen sneeringly added “…and I can’t say I’m sorry” after saying that she had never met Colonel Sanders. And I _loved_ that Mo proceeded to describe what a truly remarkable, admirable man Sanders was. (Something about that tells me that Her Nibs probably hadn’t read the book.) Bergen is the embodiment of the entitled “limousine liberal” who has had everything handed to her on a platter her entire life. A snob to the very end.
Candice Bergen is a product of her environment and upbringing. Nothing more. Nothing less. So many people are prickly about a woman with class, beauty and breeding.
Interviewers always try to get Candice to talk about the people she has met. It’s easier for her to say she didn’t meet them so she doesn’t have to tell secrets . She’s one of the very few now that lived in a time where if she passes on now will go to the grave with many secrets. She won’t talk about so much. For example I’d love to ask her” Did you think Of Manson group when your friend Sharon Tate was taken from all of us before the cops found him. After all she left quickly from 1150 Cielo when her husband Terry Melcher moved from this address and they left to get away from Charlie - why didn’t they warn Sharon . She had to have known it was Manson when they found out about the incident.
Love love love Candice Bergen.
Such a rich and joyous interlude as a reminder that our closing years may very well be our best.
Candice is Amazing and I have always admired her. I Envy her experience and adventure.
Mo is so knowledgeable, I've always loved his work
Really enjoyed his enthusiasm for his subjects! Greatly enjoyed this. Candice just herself whom I so admire.
Candice is such a natural beauty. She’s stunning. Always was and is. I admire her discretion , a quality rarely seen today. She’s anti social media .

What a wonderful conversation here. So inspiring
I love her voice 🤩one of my favorite shows back in day. Looking forward to seeing her new movie 🎥 🤩
A very interesting conversation 👏
Lots of great stories 👏👏

Candice Bergen ,This is what REAL Beauty LOOKS Like 👍
Great memories and stories. truly inspiring.
Thoroughly enjoyed this conversation with two of my favorites! Also, props to Jan : )
She's so beautiful. She looks so much better - and so much more youthful - without all the crap they put on her for films and TV (when they did the Murphy Brown reboot. She looks younger now!)
I am so inspired! Thanks!
Glad she is still alive!
Love Candice Bergen. We were born in the same year.

Candice has incredible stories from her life. I don't know how Truman Capote's Black and White ball wasn't covered.

Wow! you got in everything you had to say before he could open up his mouth! Great job Tim!!

Thank you. I enjoyed this. 👏
This was quite enjoyable. Love both Candace and Mo. I was bothered by the weirdly unresponsive audience, however.
Candice is 1st Class. We have a connection, my Dad, Charlie McCarthy, was no dummy!!!
There is a wonderful book about the Snowman called The $80 Champion, and I think there is a movie about him too.
I like Mo and he is very interesting but Candice really interviewed him, not the other way around.
Good interviewers are rare. It’s a specialized skill-an art, really-that very few possess. David Susskind was a great interviewer. Dick Cavett, in his earlier days, was excellent. Ira Glass is very good.
She phoned it in
❤
we want more from neil degrasse tyson and krulwich PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I BEG YOU
Frank McCourt
Brian May
Remarkable
Candace acts bored. I love to listen to Mo❤. He deserves a better interviewer.
She doesn't have her glasses on.
Does he? Geez is this guy full of himself.
He’s a terrible bore.
I think he is very interesting. It seems that many people have lost the ability to enjoy and appreciate good storytelling. Maybe a quick TikTok video is the only thing that can capture the attention of some people.
Totally agree!! She is an awful interviewer!
At 77 is this book going to inspire or make me feel guilty for living a satisfying but ordinary life?
No one’s life is ordinary! I’m 77.5
Who is interviewing whom?
we know it's the 92nd st y. calm down with the backdrop
Roctogenerian.😂

Yup! She comes across as a true snob and not a very good interviewer. On the other hand Mo rocks!
Candice Bergen is a product of her environment and upbringing. Nothing more. Nothing less. So many people are prickly about a woman with class, beauty and breeding.
He is quick and funny. Too bad he got dull staying in the NPR crowd. Same happened with john hodgman.

She had to have known it was Manson when they found out about the incident.
She and Terry Melcher were never married, just in a living together relationship for several years.
Mo is the pro typical nerd in high school that everyone tolerated with his little facts and observations.
Candice, please ask “ So, Mo…when were you injected with a Phonograph needle?”
Who's interviewing whom? Yawn
This does not make me want to read the book.
He talks too much for "interviewing"
Mo Rocca, sooo annoying.
Mo Rocca is not only a narcissistic, awful interviewer, he also has an extremely irritating voice. Poor Candace.
Hmm...I thought he was very interesting. In fact, I like Candice Bergen but in this case I don't think she was the greatest interviewer.
@@cathyulbrich3481Please remember Candice Bergen is a stroke survivor.
I think he is being interviewed by Candace 😊 he is pushing his new book😊
