I used to work as an electrician, with no degree. Fast forward five years later, I’m in my second role as a software engineer. My advice: be consistent, take risks and stay conscious of your learning process. Once you've acquired foundational knowledge, start applying for every entry-level job, accept rejection and move on. Question what you don't know and learn it. Software engineering jobs are technical and the interviews are too. It's a skill to be able to regurgitate technical information clearly. Good luck - you'll get there!
I worked in the factory and studied at the university part-time on the weekends. TLDR. It took me 11 years after graduating to land my first fully software engineering job. Never give up!
Bro. I am doing this for more than 4 years ( learning how to code ). Still no Job. If you get one before me, I will be jelous, but hope you good luck anyway! I like what you do, I like the fact that you have an income to keep you alive. That's the best thing you can do (in this industry). Get better while having a plan B is the thing I will do also.
har också varit sjukt sugen på att skaffa en sån standing desk, din åkte rätt högt fan nästan upp till taket så att man kan köra några chins under tiden man kompilerar hah
Yup, build simple things. Build simple web sites and applications and try to learn new concepts incrementally. Don’t get stuck in tutorial hell, you should always write code as you’re learning concepts don’t just read and watch RUclips, you have to be actively coding as your learning.
